Condolences on your loss, but there will be other times.

In other news, just checked what my Amazon Smile donations have totaled so far. Not bad.

If you shop with amazon, check out smile.Amazon.com to select a charity of your choice that Amazon will donate a small percentage of your purchase value to who you’ve selected. I’ve selected the BlueRibbon coalition as they work hard to keep access open to the public and especially motorized users.

Y’all have any good wheeling spots around there? I’m down to drive out on a weekend.

I'm more of a mountain biker, hiker so am not as familiar with all of the roads/trails to wheel on, but there are many people who do. Maybe the others from the area on here can chime in. There are many many miles of Shawnee National Forest roads/trails that are open to highway legal motor vehicles. The maps are kind of overwhelming with stuff scattered all over. I'm going to start trying to figure out what is good and what isn't to go check out. The trails/roads for motor vehicles are seasonal and many of them close in December and re-open late spring. The link below shows all of the roads/trails that are legal on the motor vehicle use maps.

So IL peeps coming in strong !:fistbump:

After many attempts at finding a decent trail here, I think I may have found one by Garden of the Gods that would be worthy of your time.

I've spent several days marking them off the map. The open/passable to completely overgrown ratio isnt very good. Haha.

My USFS buddy says there's some over in Pope but most have been cut up with 40"+ jeeps. :annoyed:

Here’s the deal on exhaust reroutes. If we can get at least two that want to get it done on the 21st - mod day - Austin will be in his shop to do it. Max is three due to his schedule but I wouldn’t mind having a fourth as a backup in case someone on the list backs out or can’t turn up.

Sounds like the guys with 40"+ jeeps treat the motor vehicle trails and roads like the equestrians treat the hiking trails. :frusty:

I have been fortunate enough to not have to deal with much autumn olive in my career so far. That’s probably going to change relatively soon now that I’m down in the land of hardwoods.

I’d say that it’ll be around $200 with a heat shield for the electronic actuator.

Dont be doing math, like @G.T. said, skids without exhaust reroute is pointless or lipstick on a pig or something along those lines. On a group of three if hes using Stainless piping I wouldn't expect it to be 200 that's like normal price. Ask him for group buy price of $125 lol

Edit: missed the heat shield part. $200 is fair lol

Not sure if that's good bargaining on your part, or if you're just diving in without looking first....

Either way, I dig it. For $200, I'm in, @G.T.

This is $200 to re-route the exhaust out through the hood, right? or a soot stack through the bed? If not, it's not worth it.

I had to look up what the heck Autumn Olive is, apparently up here in Central IL, we kill it with months of frigid temperatures.

I’m in Minnesota so I would be highly surprised if your winters killed it when ours don’t.
