    Correct, though ceramic maintenance is a LOT easier than wax/sealant maintenance. I used to correct and seal the Shelby 1-2 times/yr and my wifes car annually. Both underwent multi-stage correction and coating (~3 day process for each) over a year ago, after which I've done nothing but wash and ceramic "boost" them. ("Boosting" amounts to wiping them down after washing & blow drying with something like Adam's Ceramic Boost or Gtechniq's Liquid Crystal C2v3.)

    Apologies for the misunderstanding. They were coated only a year ago, so I can't (yet) confirm the coatings will live up to their NINE YEAR life expectancy. (Obviously, this is a YMMV thing that depends on application, use, maintenance, etc.)

    Yeah part of the decon he does on a vehicle is with iron remover to get the rail dust out. He uses gtechniq on wheels and carpro cquartz on the paint. For the sio2 coatings he uses gyeon

    Well. I am almost in the boosted club.

    Been a long install for me. It is a USED TRD supercharger. I changed the coupler, drive oil and cleaned the internal air cooler. Prepped all surfaces and replaced all O-rings. Superchargers online screwed me on a few parts but ultimately got me what i needed albiet a week later. I will say for a guy with an
    Auxillary Electrical Mount from Powertray's,
    Secondary House Battery (27F Northstar)
    ARB Air compressor,
    start battery relocated to the passenger side,
    Larger Tranny cooler,
    Larger CSF radiator,

    That with all of those parts making everything play nicely has been a PITA! Luckily all i have left is to figure out where i can mount the Reservoir for the LTR system then fill it with fluids and fire it up to check for leaks.

    Question for you guys who installed this yourself. Can i drive this thing to the dealer or do i need to have it towed? I have cleaned and prepped everything on the super to make sure it is in better than new condition. Anythign i need to pay special attention to when i finally get it fired up this evening? I do not have a tune for this thing so all i can do is start it and let it idle correct? No throttle at all as its not programmed for the boost?

    Congrats! You can definitely drive it to the dealer for TRD tune install, which is difficult to do with "no throttle at all" - just stay out of boost and you'll be fine. (A friend and I kept ours below ~2.5K RPM with no rapid acceleration, and had no trouble.)

    Awesome! That was my assumption but had been told by others its not worth it to drive it up there as you risk fouling a plug running lean.

    Any other specialty items to look for/at when firing it up initially? Truck has 115k on it nothing else special to consider?

    FWIW, I received/followed the same advice (drive at low RPM and out of boost) when I added some performance upgrades (requiring tune modification) to my Shelby, and had zero problems. Obviously, you shouldn't log hundreds of miles without being correctly tuned, but both my friend and I drove our Tacomas ~15 miles to get them tuned and I drove the Shelby ~30 miles. We suffered no malfuntions and none of our plugs became fouled. Keep in mind, you shouldn't run lean until/unless you get into boost, which you're not going to do until AFTER you're tuned.

    Besides double-checking ALL hoses, belts, fittings, connections, and fluid levels, I don't recall doing anything special before post-install startup.

    Save yourself $75, leave the belt on and just safety wire open the boost bypass valve. When done you can just remove the wire and enjoy. Nice setup BTW, it does get tight pretty quick. With HPT you can get rid of that SAI pump under the hood.

    Got a lead on a "keg" muffler this morning. Guy is trying to sell the whole exhaust but is moving next week so if no one buys it by then, its mine. Brand new, less than 30 miles when he took it off. :fingerscrossed:
