Dave, a lot of folks not coming in until Friday evening. Does not sound like we will be doing a long ride unfortunately, there was talk of doing two rides Saturday with a break for lunch in between, maybe Pisgah in the morning, DuPont in the afternoon.

Right on. Just let me know if/when you'll be there.

As far as the site goes, the listing does say that there are hookups with a max pull-in length of 22ft, but I'll try to get clarification on that for you from the owners.

I think we do need to start putting together a final route plan for all three days. My own situation changed a little bit in the last few days -- I'll be arriving earlier on Friday and riding Friday afternoon and all day Saturday, but then leaving at the crack of dawn on Sunday to race home for an event in Raleigh on Sunday afternoon.

We also need to figure out if/when we should split the group onto different routes for different skill levels. I'm not into crazy chunk and drops like one might find on Upper/Middle Black, but I also don't want those who can ride the crazy stuff to miss out on anything. This is the part where I'm REALLY counting on those who are local and know the trails better to come up with route plans that take actual skills into consideration, while at the same time showing off some of the very best that Pisgah has to offer. (I would like the rides to be epic, but not sketchy as hell or deadly...make sense?)

As someone who has been choppered out of the mountains with a very severe leg injury, I'd simply like to do what we can to avoid that on this trip. In my opinion, there's no need to push the limits this time around. If there are attendees who wish to hit the extreme gnar, then splitting the group may be required.

Who wants to volunteer to draft our routes?

I'm far from an expert rider, or an expert on Pisgah for that matter but I do put in a couple of 50-60 mile days a year up there plus a ton of day trips. I've done Black about once a week for the past month (including yesterday!). That said, I see this trip as more of a way to just hang out and we can go at whatever pace the group dictates. There are no bad days in The Pisgah! This is your baby @paleh0rse but I'm happy to help out any way I can.

I can put a loose itinerary together to submit to the group if you like. Is Middle black too much gnar? I just led a group from Charlotte down last week and the less experienced guys just walked the sections they were not comfortable with.

I think most of my work here is done. I'm really depending on someone else posting some tentative routes/plans/schedules for all three days.

I got you. I'll try to put something together this week for you to take a look at and once you tweak it you can add it to the OP.

This is the required gear list for PMBAR (you gotta be a little special to do this one, took me almost 14 hours this year haha). Recommend everyone take a look at it and pack accordingly.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    Indeed ;)
