The backward facing Hella light on my roof rack hasn't been wired up for months either lol  Just never got around to it...I should probably just take it off haha.

In my defense the wiring for it is there, but I used it for the front facing LEDs and haven't put another harness in for the Hella

Shipping isn't that expensive. Call Rancho Toyota Truck Parts in Rancho Cordova, CA - one of the biggest Toyota truck scrappers in the country. I've been there once, it's impressive. They shipped me an entire rear axle for $40. Another one is ToyAuto Mart.

I'm probably going to ditch it for an amber rear facing light instead, it'll serve more of a purpose for keeping me visible on dusty trails to those behind me. Getting rear ended in a cloud of dust wouldn't be fun

    Good point!

Speaking of, at some point I'd like to add to the thread, what rules and etiquette we all expect from one another. I'm sure that won't be an issue since we're all adults but it'll set the bar for what we all should expect especially if anyone's going to bring loved ones.

I've initiated and lead meets in the past(other forums) but this will be different as I have limited off roading experience. Much less any crawling or anything technical.

Yeah I think that'll be a good convo to have at some point but probably not for awhile. Now that we've got the tail gate swing out it will be easy to mount rear amber lights there. When I did the Mojave Rd trail with a group last year, I nearly got slammed into at one point by the guy behind me because I didn't have rear lights. Had my hazards on but they almost weren't enough, he managed to skid right past me and missed by inches (guy in front of me had to stop quick so I did too). We were well-spaced out but when there's a ton of dirt/dust in the air you can't see a thing

I have a couple amber pods I just need to wire them up, which of course is my least favorite thing to fuck with on the truck (wiring).

Yeah tell me about it. Truck is throwing everything at me this year of course amidst all the other expensive life stuff I've got going on. Hard to prioritize the smaller things

when it gets closer to the date we can see how many people are going and what experience they have and lead trails accordingly. Obviously easier runs for people who have not so much, and more challenging for the others. Anyone looking to get into something a little more challenging we can always look at getting people out of their comfort levels if they want more of a challenge.

I'm sure everyone will be respectfully disrespectful lol
