I am sure I read it somewhere in the last 2541 pages, but going for the easy way here. If I wipe my laptop back to stock will I have to get a new registration code? My wife is is getting a new one which makes her old one mine, but her old one is the one I used to for loading OvTune on my truck.

Agree, the running is great, the driving - still needs improvement...

I'm going to have to borrow my sister-in-law's laptop to do the tune (our laptop at home is a Mac Book Air). Her machine is running Windows 8, is that good enough to do what I need it to do?

I believe quite a few guys are running Bootcamp on their Mac’s to load the tune. AFAIK it works fine. Maybe some of them will post.

Hey guys, using flash manager now. Just installed and downloaded. Keep getting virus detected even after turning off firwall and rebooting several times. This happens when clicking on Tuning>>P5Flash Utility. Was gonna retrieve my PC credentials per install instructions.
    Anyway around this?

It has nothing to do with your firewall. Turn off your virus scanner/threat detection. Alternatively create an exception.

    Really loving 2.0, honestly.

Does anybody else find when the truck shifts at 35mph that its really..'bogged' or has barely any power? I've been noticing that a lot after its always like right at the 35mph shift point and then I have to push down a bit on the pedal to get it goin again.

Loaded up the 87 Performance flash. My 2019 TRD OR MT6 is running like it should have been from the mother ship. Thanks to Mathew and OVTUNE! Made this old man pretty happy!

    Try this.

    1. Click on the up arrow in the lower right hand corner of your screen by the time and then double click the McAfee icon.

    Mcafee.jpg

    2. Click on the gear icon in the McAfee window and then click on Real-Time Scanning.

    mcafee1.jpg

    3. Click on one of the P5 Flash executables - I have more than one since I've downloaded upadates since I first installed the software so your files may be different than mine.

Your flash executables will be on your C drive so open your C drive and go to the following path but replace YourUserName with your windows login name.

    C:\Users\YourUserName\Toyota Flash Manager\bin

You want to exclude these files from real time scanning and following these steps should do this in McAfee.

    mcafee2.jpg

When you update the software you will need to follow these steps again to exclude the new executable versions from real-time virus scanning.

I think it shifts to 5th, Mat says 4th. But yes, 1100rpm at 37 sucks. That being said, this latest version does seem to downshift better than earlier versions to compensate.

Drove the wife’s highlander and noticed very similar tendencies. The difference I believe is that you can hardly hear the motor in that car, nor feel the shifts, the Tacoma is so loud in comparison.

I'm on A61 and and also notice the early shift to 4th and the bog. The latest 2.0 holds 3rd much longer than 1.05, but I would like for it to hold a little longer and possibly eliminate the early shift bog. Other than that, the tune is gold to me. Tip-in is perfect and it actually held 5th going 70 in a 20mph head wind. It has never done that. It usually jumps to 4th.

If you log the data, you will see that vvt is changing angles right around this point. Get familiar before asking to change the shift point
