Ok so ultragauge responed to my email about abs issue. They don't know how one goes about clearing up the abs issue once disconnected.

So I'm selling it brand new not hooked up! I paved $78 have not done the rebate, hoping to get $60 for it and u can have rebate $ which would be a good amount, I'll give all receipts for it too!

Someone take it off my hands, I'm bummed about not being able to use it!

Good news friends. I plugged the unit in tonight, and no ABS light! Not sure if this was some sort of fluke, but awesome! Just wanted to share the good news. Hope it keeps it up.

You went the e-mail route? So you just e-mail it to them the finsihed rebate form and they will honor it? Elaborate pls.

I tried force protocol last night and didn't think it worked. Either way, working like a champ! No abs light. I've been in and out of the truck 3 times. Every restart with no issues. Buy! Buy! Buy!

Jag posted a response from UG with them saying that the issue is not resolved even when enabling the force protocol.

Judging by the pinouts posted in the SG thread on TTORA, the issue is with the pin out configuration. On the SG enabling ISO mode resolves the issue so that it only communicates with certain pins other than CAN or PWM.

I know this thread is long now & it's to time consuming to dig through it & is why I am reposting this info & the link: http://www.tacomaterritory.com/forum/showthread.php?t=160888

So unless fsbrain03's unit is different for some reason & does not communicate through pins 6 & 14 than chances are I don't see why his would not have the issue, it's just a matter of time.

I'm not trying to ruin anyone's day, just don't want people going out to buy one because of this one incident (so far) when it looks like this issue is definitive & does not have an easy work around for it yet for 03-04's.

Hmmm...keep me informed after some miles are driven please. Did you have the abs issue when you 1st used it?

Man I'm very skeptical about plugging something into my computer that has caused problems for others.

    Keep me updated yo.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
did you do the save and restart option after the initial try of the force protocol? if not, that may be why it took a restart of the truck to make the change...just a theory

just scanned and emailed mine also! i found the rebate process a little tedious but i understand what they are trying to accomplish. i did learn something by reading what they requested and found out a few things that i might not have if it wasnt set up this way....overall im pleased with the unit
