I'll throw it in the truck. I need to zero the optics anyway. I haven't shot it since I bought them :anonymous:

We shoot out there every year. Utah rules for shooting are pretty lenient. I talked to the BLM field office in Moab and it’s pretty much “don’t be stupid”. Don’t shoot across roads, rivers, etc. Shoot toward some type of back stop.
    Exploding targets are not banned...yet.

    Did someone say Moab. :anonymous:

Well If anyone needs extra desert time before this planned event... I'll be doing a bunch of exploring in Zion and Grand Staircase Escalante the 11-18th. Slot canyons, hiking, etc.

Dang! We’re just going to miss you guys! My wife and I are heading out there from Nebraska on the 29th! Would have been great to meet a few guys from the forum! And possibly get some tips on what trails my mostly stock truck (just tires and sliders) could handle!

Stock taco with tires can take you to plenty of scenic and awesome places out there. Last trip had a stock base 3rd gen with tires that had no issues with hells revenge.

@Wulf his was stock height correct?

Awesome! That’s good news! We’ve never been out there, so just not sure what to expect! But I will admit that the places I have taken my truck so far has shocked me every time with how capable it is for being stock. Can’t wait to check out Moab!

Just spitballing a few places for ya... Trailsoffroad.com will have all the details, maps, other stuff

    Gemini bridges
    Fisher Towers
    Pucker pass
    Potash/shafer road
    Onion creek
    Hurrah pass

All great individual areas with endless trails that can be done stock and great views. Those are just roads, not counting slick rock trails...but they are great.

Make sure you ALWAYS have plenty of water and fuel.

And make sure you stay on the marked trails...some people from other states think its an open playground, but that's how stuff gets closed down. It's a bigger issue in different environments, but it's a good rule to follow.

Thank you! I really appreciate it! I will def check them out! I recognize a few of those names from the trail book I bought! I was planning on checking out Gemini bridges as I think I read there are a few remote campsites on it!

Yeah, unfortunately some of the best sites got shut down (likely due to misuse or people not following directions), but you'll still have ones on the east area wash, and then the western side. There used to be some on a plateau with views of the la sals, but they are no longer.

If that doesn't work, there's cool ones near the top of pucker pass (north of dead horse state park), and all in that general area.

Or if you get in late, willow springs road is an easy go to but there will be people and campers and 4 wheelers, etc.

Moab doesn’t accept visitors from Tuscaloosa.
