My grandfather was notorious for trying out a hobby once to see if he liked it. His other daughter-in-law was into cross-stitching, and was forever making little 8x10 items. Grandpa was about 9 beers in to his daily 12-pack (one an hour starting at 10AM) when he started talking shit to her about her cross-stitching. She told him off, basically that he lacked the skill and coordination to do it, so he went out bought a MASSIVE one that was 24" by 36" (of a tiger, really cool). He knocked it out in less than a month with no mistakes, then made his own frame.

We all learned two lessons here.

1) Don't challenge Grandpa to nothing you're not ready to get your ass beat at.
2) Just because he drinks doesn't mean he's drunk.

He never picked up a needle and thread after that except to fix socks, firmly believing his point had been made.

It should be noted that diminished mental capacity isn't always associated with a larger penis.
