First dent I put in my truck was from wheeling with people off of a local board. We were already on the trail when they told me to "keep up or get left behind" then kept bombing down the trail. I was on 31s and they were both on 35s

Call NNAWG Reno Airport up in Nevada. I got my 151k A340F and transfer case for $450 loaded into my truck.

Leaving to go camping tomorrow since it's my day off already!

    That's why I'm still at work...pushing a 13hr shift.

    Was it a j-shift?

I feel fortunate in that every group experience I've had wheeling with TW members has been overwhelmingly positive minus the one incident I described above. Everyone for the most part has been keen on trail etiquette regarding treading lightly and not leaving anyone behind. It rubs me the wrong way to hear about people leaving a mess on trails (big time on that one) or thinking it's ok to leave others behind because they aren't as experienced or equipped, if you're in a group you're committed to the group and you make sure you help see everyone through safely.

    exactly!

i turned that 12 year old radio up like you said to on the highway and it made no difference when I hit a certain speed the flapping in the vents was too much for the radio!

now I can go through and trouble shoot what changed with my truck since this happened afterwards, maybe it will make a difference in the solution?

but maybe somebody else can try it out with their truck to see if it can be duplicated?

some here on TW have way more miles than I do so have probably had experiences I have not yet had
sorry to bother you with this, just don't wanna pork it to the $100/hour mechanic to diagnose some gremlin, it can get expensive if he has never encountered something like it

your answer was old age and weathered parts?
    i give up!

if my truck ran like crap i could understand, this truck runs very well for its age
i just think it was not put back together properly at the body shop
