when my poly carrier goes in with some new tuning i want jim to drive and review again. folks, if youre on the fence with mods just let jim do it. he made my truck suspension amazing.

 

who has this suspension test?

 

Just mixed up some short strand glass mix. Took the high spots out and gave it a good sanding. Next layer, probably the last, going on.

 

i have a set of alloy gears but theyre stock spec. they can be machined to the 3rd degree if you like.

 

I might take you up on that if I fubar my old ones. Gonna try and do that at work. If I fubar it, then I'll just pay someone who does that type of thing. Don't want to toast another motor either.

 

i bought a set that were supposed to be 3 off. theyre stock but @mightytacoman can fix them. cheap for you my friend. pm if interested.

 

Let me know if he doesn’t take them. Been eying this mod but also pourin all my money into bike projects

 

@Shadowhunter you were able to get those unicorn MTR's?? did you order through discount or..?

 

sure hope some other tire companies jump on that size! not that there is anything wrong with GY mtr's

Where are we looking for used cars these days? I have a hankering for a Forester XT to commute in. Yes I know someone on here has an XTI, but if i have to drive a manual for two hours every day in traffic ill drive off the ballard bridge to end it all.

Might want to ask my brother what he’s done in the past, he’s done a fair bit of fiberglass/CF work.

 

I walked in pulled out my phone and showed them that Tire Rack stocked them. They called Goodyear and special ordered them. Then the smart ass that I talked to over the phone that said they didn’t exist and tried to convince me that there was now way in hell they would ever fit on my truck. After putting 45# of air in them and driving around their lot he came up to me and apologized and asked how I made them fit.

If it comes to that you should pick a higher bridge.

have you guys taken your truck through the car wash with a RTT? Or is that a bad idea?

 

Most car washes don't even allow you to have cross bars on your canopy.. don't think they'd let you through with a RTT

 

The last time i went to a touchless place, the dude just looked at the truck and was like "uhhhhh no." But they run it through the one at lexus and its never been a problem. Unless they make some poor kid hand wash the damn thing.
