So pulling the DRL fuse did all kinds of weird things. (I believe I read this would happen in one of the posts that I saw while researching) With the 7.5a fuse pulled, the headlights would work but when the hi beams were switched on, all the lights go out. Also as bizarre as it sounds, the DRL were still on! Gah!!!

Out of mild frustration, I went back to this pic and another post I saw which showed a slightly different color wire in the #1 position.

Turns out that cutting the #1(blue arrow) wire does in fact disable the DRLs. So for now the wire is just cut. I plan to install a switch so I can run them if I choose to (you know, for Haboobs and whatnot).

Awesome, well I'm glad you got it sorted. DRLs are craziness if you can't turn them off. Really one of the only things I didn't like when I got my Taco.

I had mine switched for a while, but then I needed the spot in the dash for some other switch. So now my wires are just behind the dash, always switched off, hahahahahaha.

Yes that photo is of the firewall side of the DRL relay. It’s directly under the kick panel right below the steering wheel. That ‘brownish wire with the black stripe’ is the one I found to be the winner. Most other posts I saw called that one white with a green stripe.

That’s why the pin on the harness should be referred to as well, not just the color. Also, I bet all those incorrect ones were from the wrong year FSM.

    E-Locker Skid Install 9/08/2019
A few months back I bought a Front Range E Locker Skid off of @Adventurer_Alex and I finally got around to installing it today.

Last week I painted it. I used Krylon flat red. I plan to use this color for most of my mods going forward. Fresh paint makes it easy to see where wear and tear is happening among other things like fresh oil or some other fluid leaking. It’s been dang humid here so I let the paint dry for a little over a week.

I installed the unit using some of the factory hardware. Specifically the (2) bolts and (1) nut from these locations on the factory cover.

Here it is installed noting the lower two factory bolts used.

Are you sure you didn’t install it upside down?

I was messing with you. I had heard others had minor issues that needed to make modifications to the skid for it to fit right.

    I have mods
I had to do that with my LowRange skid. Wouldn't fit correctly at the top and took some clearancing.

Well I gotta say the vent visors are working perfectly! This storm today in Scottsdale is the most rain I've driven in this year, and I was able to keep all four windows down about 1/2" without letting any water in the truck, even while doing about 70 MPH on the 101.

My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is about the packaging. The visors are shrink wrapped to a thin sheet of cardboard for packaging. The automotive tape that holds the visors in place comes with a red protective tape on it and the shrink wrap stuck to it which made unpacking them tricky. All in all it, wasn't a big deal, only took another few careful minutes of work and didn't cause any additional installation problems.

I will be getting another set for the F250. The final product is clean and has a great look. I'll run the truck through the car wash a few times before giving my final recommendation.

Can you post a photo to show how low down the visor goes on the front windows? I'm wondering if it just covers the TOP of the window or if it goes down on the short vertical section that is hidden by the mirror in your photo.
