They will work with most ball joint uppers without modification, but unless the customer really doesn’t want a modified set, I modify all sets that customers tell me they will be running ball joints with. Generally the ball joint is long enough, but I don’t really trust nylon lock nuts after their initial use (I much prefer stover nuts). In many industries it’s a standard to have a minimum of 3 threads showing past your nut. Running a modified spindle gusset allows this and gives you a little more wiggle room in case something starts to work it’s way loose

Gotcha - I'll get on teh list probably this winter.

Also, you should add the bit of info, about letting you know if a buyer has ball joints or not, in the OP.

Ordered a set of these gussets for my 4th gen 4R. Did not know the tidbit about them not being compatible with SPC UCA's. Any chance you'd sell a set of the modified gussets for the top? Not sure if it's worth your time but figured I would ask. Thanks in advance. If you're willing, PM me and we can work out the details.

Looking good brother, glad to see they arrived quickly.

I’d love to help you. Only issue is you have a t4r spindles which are different from the Tacoma spindles. I have done plenty in the past, but don’t stock t4r cores

Bump. Currently have one set of spindles in stock.

OP has been updated for the first time since I started doing these a few years ago.

    About halfway done...
I’m interested! So just to confirm I have JBA uppers with ball joint. Only have about 1/8” of threads showing after the nut. Does that work?

Bump, currently have one pair available for exchange.

    Thanks

Just make sure you let me know you need them setup for ball joints when you’re ready to place an order.

Yeah I make one for BAMF and archive hangers.

Here’s a cross brace for the archive hangers. All crossmembers for BAMF and archive now have the tube adapter pictured on this crossmember. It makes for much easier install and it’s easier to pack for shipping.
