Currently, I am a "maintainer". I lost a bunch of weight starting about 5 years ago or so, and for the last 2, or so, have just been maintaining. I never counted calories, just used calories as a comparison between things. I just finally admitted to some key aspects of my behavior that were stupid and set about changing them one at a time.

Even when I was at my worst though I still was working out, so, at the time, was using that as an excuse to eat like shit, but as I made the changes, I just adjusted my workouts some to help with the loss and at least didn't need to add that in as a significant change. My workouts are much more aimed at cardio and what I term "joint maintenance" as I lift to keep the joints moving and keep a decent amount of range of motion since I have some joint issues, and cardio to up the metabolism and burn some "sh-tuff" away.

My goals just aren’t to be big. I want muscle definition and some mass but not like BB mass.

And see I’m with you. I don’t wanna be massive where I can’t scratch my own back but I want to be in decent shape while being able to keep up running with others. Like if I had money I’d love to try a triathlon or iron man style competition.

I don’t wanna be just good in the gym.

Picked up some new pre today. Apparently the steel one has the old compound that was in the original jack3d, just patented under their own formula.

Justtttt in time for deadlift day.

    Agreed!!

I like doing all kinds of things not just lifting. While I enjoyed powerlifting I just didn’t feel good being... well... fat. I let my shit get out of hand but I feel better being lighter even if I’m not as strong.
Cardio is fun. I love being able to run with my family and do cool active shit.

I would do an Iron Man if it didn’t include biking lol.
The biggest things with those are time, not necessarily money. Working out is a fucking job. 20-30 hours a week.
Although a good bike, entry, and travel expenses do add up. And you have to have someone go with you to do your drop bags, bring you clothes, food, vasaline etc.

Me too. I have the running and biking down, but not the swimming. I sink like a brick and I'm deathly afraid of open water. My balls just shot into my abdomen at the thought of open water. ahhhhhhhhhh

I think PackCon and I are the only ones who really do any fair amount of cardio and PackCon is the king of cardio

    Me
    Fucking remember it
    Running.
    All
    Day
    Long

I’m getting back into it after a pretty decent hiatus. I broke my foot, had surgery. Them got into a car accident hurt my rotator cuff, had surgery. Did powerlifting for a bit. The running itch got me again.
