Just to clarify: I've shot a shit load of deer (legally) but there was an old, retired gentleman that took every deer I shot. I would normally give him 3-4 a year and he would feed his family with them. Opening day each year he would call and just say, "I'm ready". The great thing about this guy (besides the fact that he was a great dude) was that he would take a deer anytime, day or night. And often when you shoot one right at dark, by the time you dress it and drag it and all that crap, and drive an hour home, it can be quite late.
I called him one night around 7ish and told him I was almost home and that I had a deer. He said, "well, my wife is in the hospital and I'm here with her, meet you in about 20 minutes".o_O
He passed away a couple of years ago, now I give them to guys at work and they bring me a couple of sticks of summer sausage.
I also want to clarify, where I hunt there are endless doe tags. You can buy as many as you want.

Yup, between us farmers and the levee district it’s cost a little over $130,000 just to run the pumps, diesel, oil, filters, parts and such.

I have been snipe hunting. Also went out to look for a left-handed smoke shifter.

I was there in 2013. I seldom take vacations but my wife usually goes on vacations by herself, but she talked me into going with her. I’m ready to go back!

Wow crazy, never shot even one. However I've had my fair share of venison over the years.

Pretty good! Doing last minute preparations for hunting but pretty bummed about all the dead deer they’re finding in this area.

It would be a two birds trip potentially. Seeing the northern lights is also on my list
