    Actually been right at 100 the last couple days. Supposed to kick back up to 110+ for a couple days then back down to 102/3-ish. So this may be the beginning of the end of summer. It'll ratchet up and down like this for a while. After Halloween is when it'll get more comfortable. The farmers are getting some of the winter vegetables planted. Cotton harvest is in full swing.

    Lots of game comes to that water hole. It's actually overflow from our water tank. The volunteer also leaves a water hose cracked open so there's always a trickle going to it. Hawks like to hang out and feed on birds and rabbits who aren't paying attention. See deer out there too. Lots of quail.

    I talked to my Brother yesterday and things are getting better, He rented an excavator and was able to get most of the burned belongings into a dumpster and hauled away. He sounded in much better sprits. Just taking it one day at a time.
