Any issues with the load bars flexing the top of the SE? Have you taken that set up off road yet?

Yeah I have had it in Apalachicola, Croom, Osceola, and Ocala. 0 issues, it is rock solid, no flex that I can feel or see. I even jumped on the top when I got it, didn't feel any flex, I am 185 lbs. The tent is only 120 lbs or so, the SE is rated for 400 lbs. They have the HD rated for 1600 lbs, but I don't have any ATV's so would have been overkill and more expensive.

In fact this picture is inside Croom area

I think its more of a question of adding two people and gear to it, once it's set up. Could easily see 800+ lbs up there...

I don't see myself anywhere near 800 lbs. But it would also be static weight, not travel. Mine will never have anything but the tent attached, while the tent is attached.

I work in the Altamonte Springs area recruiting for the Army. The family likes to wheel in Ocala on occasion if any of you are interested in a small group ride. We've done Citrus, and various smaller areas just to explore near Daytona. At the end of the month we're finishing the 2nd half of the GA Traverse. Planning a trip to either the Ozarks or Big Bend for Christmas.

Thank you! How is it in Ocala, we used to ride our dirt bikes out there and I remember it just being sugar sand. Will a 2wd fair okay out there? Beautiful truck btw.

You could get away with 2WD out there. Some sections to be aware of. Late afternoon with no rain the sand would be powdery sugar, and the powerline trail is definitely soft sand. Nothing a set of knock off Maxtrax couldn't get you out of. Most of the trails are tight and easy. FL doesn't offer much in the way of fantastic wheeling. When we go we usually break off from Deland and ride the trails North to the bombing range. Takes all day if you putz around enough.

There’s a nice cavalry blue in the plaza next to Publix Jamestown blvd. TRD Pro. It’s more like Infantry blue. Sweet color though.
