"the race is split into two groups with the open wheel, slower truck and VW baja bug classes starting at 6 a.m. The featured SCORE Trophy-Truck division, which has 31 entries (second-most in race history) along with the unlimited Class 1 open-wheel desert race cars, which has 20 entries, will start at 1 p.m. One vehicle will start every 30 seconds in the elapsed-time race. The faster classes will be required to cover four laps of the 68.6-mile loop course to become official finishers within the seven-hour time limit"

Just a suggestion, if you want to improve the "Vegas Scene" then keep the drinking/partying talk to a minimum or better yet private. You have already had to add special comments and explanations into some of your topics because the drinking talk has gotten out of hand, that should be a hint to stop. It's one thing to post "let's meet up at ___ and get some drinks with dinner" but it doesn't have to turn into 5, 10, 20 (or what 60+ here) pages of BS about drinking. Everyone already knows it's going to be included, so no need to make it the topic of discussion on every Vegas thread.
Also IMO and it's simply my opinion so don't get upset, your post whoring is out of control. ;)

So, that is all I have to say and we can call it 'made peace' cause I'm staying out of these threads.

    Have a great weekend.

My suggestion (was deleted) for the trail run was Logandale/Valley of Fire/Lake Mead area. You all should check it out sometime, lots of beautiful scenery and a variety of trails types out there.

I rarely drink and that's on special occasions...ask anybody who actually attends the meets what I normally drink...water and lemon lime gatorade/powerade...

its funny you say you have contributed more useful info than me...I know more about the 1GR-FE motor and the tranny than you do...I have built more engines in high school than you have in your entire life time...I believe I have contributed a lot of great info when it comes to performance modifications...so if you still decide to call people out make sure you do it accordingly...maybe you should get your facts straight...

so what your saying is that you would rather have a bunch of drunk people driving down the highway and on a trail versus getting good rest which will help them be attentive when driving...talk about an oxymoron...

any suggestions are welcomed for trail runs...some people are new to wheeling and use their truck as a DD (daily driver) and can't afford to break things and have down time on their vehicle...that's why they are so apprehensive to doing harder trails without learning the proper techniques 1st...

I'm not saying I'm a noob to wheeling but there is definitely a lot more that I could learn and I'm willing to learn from more experienced drivers...I learned how to wheel in Hawaii (where I am from)...what techniques you have learned for sand, slate, etc. would be a lot different techniques for wheeling in Hawaii...Hawaii is mostly mud, lava fields, riving crossing, extremely tight areas through the forest, some sandy areas but not the amount of sand and clay that surrounds las vegas...

I do agree that every thread doesn't need to be filled with drinking posts...but understand this that some like to have a beer or shot or 2...is that wrong of them? NO...but just don't get carried away with filling threads about drinking...

once again post up links so that everyone not only the vegas crew can learn about these laws and areas where wheeling is better...start a thread where you (the all knowing) is willing to show and take everyone on better runs, teach the noobs better wheeling techniques...

only the original poster, administrators, and moderators can delete individual posts and threads...if I make a thread I cannot delete any individuals posts...I never saw that post...

why don't you make a wheeling event for the vegas crew?

I have wheeled a few times around Lake Mead but I would like to wheel were there is more trees, higher elevation, etc...we live in a desert and see it on a daily...I'd rather have a change of scenery as long as I can get time away from work and family...but I personally don't know the area (logandale/valley of fire) so I prefer someone take take us who does know the trail runs easiest to hardest difficulties and when on the trails decide which route I will take...I'm not 1 to risk myself and my truck in an area that I don't know where I may get stuck, broken down, lost, etc...

If you have no intentions on doing a wheeling event of your own that's fine...I will ask my friends who are locals (born/raised) in vegas about the trails that they take and go that route...

Like I said before you act like you are God's Gift to the Vegas (entire) wheeling community and because of that arrogant tone I say orchestrate a wheeling meet for the Vegas crew, which trails, difficulties, where we are all to meet up, what time we are meeting up, tentative wheeling time (how long it will take to go through the entire trail/trails), necessities that we may need for this event, etc...you seem like a wealth of knowledge but don't want to share it with anyone unless your talking down to them...isn't this forum a basis for sharing knowledge amongst TACOMA/TOYOTA enthusiasts? correct me if I'm wrong...

I think that the drinking talk can get out of hand but its just people talking they can feel free to say whatever they want! The reason that there has been drinking talk is because people are coming to vegas to cut loss and have fun if they want to drink good for them! Me danny, ray and rays girlfriend has a great time last night drinking and TALKING ABOUT TACOMAS the reason for this site to talk about taco's whatever way you want! To each there own As far as the whoring on tw thats me take it or leave it i am just trying my hardest to get people to the meet that i started and got 20 people to come out to!:D

    Stuff, that thing, more stuff.
These last couple of pages look like the steaming pile of shit my neighbor's dog left in my front yard this morning :poking:

With that being said, let's do this! It's almost time to check out some bad ass trucks, go "wheeling", drink some drinks (whatever they may be) and hopefully make new friends and memories with people that, at a minimum, like the same type of trucks :D
