It was absolutely smooth as butter. The shifting even felt night and day better than other automatic 2016-2019. It was the cement color with black leather moonroof package double cab.

@whatjones911 I've owned other brand new cars and trucks in the past, but I have never had multiple drivers pull out their phones at the intersection to take photos and record the truck while I was test driving it. Incase someone didnt know already, Tacomas are insane popular. I felt like a fucking celebrity.

@WreckedRooster Lmfao. The seating position was improved. I thought it was bs from the recent videos and interviews with Toyota engineers, but the position and powerseats made huge difference. All the respect for delivering.

Im sure its the same as the 16, 17, 18, 19 as far as driving characteristics...my 19's were better than my 16 and 17s due to the TSB update, probably what you experienced.

@TacoBuffet Could be. The seating position was a major improvement. Also, the multi cameras was pretty sweet. Not gonna lie. The multi angle backup camera similar to BMW and other luxury cars was something I didn't think i would care for but it was nice.

Oh ya those are added content, but the trucks bones are the same, it should drive the same, same diff, same transmission, same frame, same engine, same tune. Just added fluff to get more money out of your pocket ;) front end does look great, those chrome tails are sad though, why toyota, why.

@TacoBuffet Probably because Toyota saw how much people are paying for a Gladiator. Buyer beware: Shop around for a 2020. These guys being the first 2020 on the lot had a sticker price of $46,000. For a fucking TRD Off Road 4x4. They thought I was born yesterday. Sad part is someone will pay that wanting to be the first around town with it. I called them out on it and they pretended like they didnt know why it was so much for a non. TRD Pro.

Yep, MSRP on that truck is $45k and change. I believe the 2020 Pros are MSRP'ing around $48k. And yep someone will pay MSRP for the first one. And trucks in general are expensive right now. Huge profit center for manufacturers, at least until the next recession... Thanks for the pics!

Hopefully the Pro taillights aren't too much to swap to and they don't put a lockdown on them like they did the grills. Otherwise, I guess there is the @MESO total taillight replacements.

Does anyone have a link for the advanced vs premium tech comparisons. Or why one package cost more. Trying to figure this out.

One includes the old tech package and one has that plus the fancy cameras. Among other things in both from what I saw.

The regular Tech package is just like previous years - Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), Rear Cross Traffic Alerting (RCTA), and parking sensors. The new Advanced Tech package includes that stuff as well as the new Panoramic View Monitor (PVM, basically a 360 camera) on the TRD Sport or the Multi Terrain Monitor (MTM, same as the PVM plus "under carriage" camera) on the TRD Off-Road.

    Enough acronyms for ya?

It appears the designers @ Toyota have dropped the ball big time and decided to go backwards. WTF is up with the chrome tail lights on the off road and sport??? It was bad enough they had a chrome bezel surrounding the front grill now they decided on placing some lip stick on the rear end? The pro tail lights are going to become a hot commodity just like the pro grills have been for 16-19.
