2020 configurator is now live

Sigh, looks like we need the normal configurator PSA...

It only shows you (and lets you build) what is available in your area/region. It is not the be all and end all of all possible combinations.

 

Waiting on the release of the ebrochure. Still not available at https://www.toyota.com/brochures/trucks

 

It's actually a good thing for, this means ours are worth more. If given a choice of a 44k 2020 model or a 35k 2018 used, people are going to go with the used model even though it higher prices than it was when new in 2018

 

SR access cab only available with a four banger? That’s a bummer.

 

I can build an SR AC with V6 2WD and 4WD in my zip code.

What am I looking at? Just not sure what you are comparing? (not trying to sound like a smartass). As mentioned there are regional differences right now. Ie.. I dont even see Limited as an option (building with my Colorado zip code)

 

Look at the MSRP differences...

That's roughly a $2K variance across the board starting from SR5.

 

I priced a F150 Lariat and it was about $65k.

 

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, duh, gotchya. And... damn! I also thought it was odd that on mine, the Sport had a higher MSRP than the Off-Road.

 

I actually at one point put in an order for a Lariat, and it was $42K (I cancelled because the thought of owning another Ford chilled me to the bone). You can easily get to $65, but a "base" Lariat offers far more for what a TRD can get up to these days.

 

Fuel efficiency is all over the place too. The data is all based only on what's currently available in each trim for that location, so for example if only a double cab automatic is available in a certain trim, the "starting" MSRP will be higher than another location that has a manual AC available for the same trim.

 

Toyota has made their tacoma platform to a point where if you want the premium/tech package and youre buying a 4x4 sport or offroad, its actually a better idea to bump up to the pro assuming they have them at msrp

 

I never realized the MSRP differences in regions were that drastic. If I want a better deal on a 2020 Taco I go to where @Comb and @COS_TACO live? haha

At the end of the day MSRP doesn't really mean much. More Invoice, but you know how dealers love to say X amount of MSRP!!

 

My 2017 OR had nearly every option and I paid $38k. I cannot comprehend paying $45k+ for this truck. Things sure are getting expensive.

 

I gotta say I'm happy I bought a 2018... I agree with @cricoid $40-$45k for this truck/platform is a little steep... Toyota is capitalizing on this segment/opportunity for sure since the demand is there.

 

Your 2017 must have been close to 42k on the sticker. 10% off sticker is good but end of year prices are better.

The days of buying a loaded OR for less than 40k appear to be gone.

 

Keeps making my 2012 Gen 2 with 50K and a clean Carfax. Keep on holding that resale value.

 

I have a 2015 with less than 25k miles. Probably gonna keep it a while. Toyota went fucking overboard on the packaging this time.
