    Hi All,

Long time lurker and first time poster, so sorry this question has been answered(I did my best to find the answer before asking). My T-case has sprung a leak and I cant find any info on what part this is.

I also know the (input?) shaft seal is leaking right next to the circled seal. Can anyone provide part #s for these? If so that would be awesome.

Also, I have heard if the T-case breather gets blocked it can force seals to leak. Is this a possibility? just wondering because this truck has 70K easy miles on it and its leaking in both spots. Part of me thinks it is, but the previous owner never took it off-roading so not sure how it would have got clogged. Also sounds like its a PITA/near impossible to get to the breather.

    ?

Thanks in advance for the help!

    -Nate

I can’t seem to upload a pic but from a Toyota dealer parts website that appears to be the speedometer cover plate, there is just an O ring inside it. From your pics the bolt holding it on appears to have marks on it indicating it has been off before. I think what is leaking is the output shaft seal and possibly not the cover plate. Clean it off, drive it a bit then check it again to see what is really leaking, if you google Toyota dealers some have the online parts books and you can see the parts and numbers. In Canada I use Toyotapartsdirect.ca.

I agree with city Taco get everything cleaned up and identify exactly where the leak is coming from.

    Thanks for the replies,

I have already cleaned it to see where it is coming from and it is definitely leaking from both, which is why I was wondering about the breather. Tnshooter, it looks like that o ring is what i'm after. I guess I will see if I cant pick that and the output shaft seal up at the closest dealer.
