Here's a mod that I borrowed from another TW member. I wish I knew who it was so I could tag them and give them due credit for it.
This gel pad fits almost as though it was designed specifically to fit the door panel of a Tacoma. Like that member I have a habit of resting my knee against the door while driving. Very comfortable, inexpensive and looks and feels like it belongs there. I liked it so much that I put one on the passenger side as well.
20190912_120556.jpg 20190912_092837.jpgTo that member....., Kudos for thinking outside the box! I love it!
Got them on Amazon. $5.99 each and free shipping with Amazon Prime. Not too many mods out there that you can do for under 12 bucks. Affixed it with (3) 1/4" strips of 3M tape.

Apologize for the lousy picture. A gloomy rainy day here in NE.

Holy shit that's genius. Don't let Toyota know or they'll add it to the 2021 and up the base price $300.

I was skeptical at first, but for $5.99 and a several (3) strips of 3M emblem tape I figured why not give it a shot. The real plus it that once installed it actually looks like OEM.
One thing that I forgot to mention. The pad has a slight recess at its base. When you put the tape on and put the pad on the door panel it fits perfectly flush. Tape is completely invisible.

The 3M Emblem tape I already had from a different mod. I purchased the 3M tape at O'Rilley auto parts. Stock #38582. Don't remember the price but I always try to keep some around, handy stuff to have on hand.

How much lift do you have in the front vs. stock? I believe stock is 21" in front and 22" in rear from wheel center cap to bottom of fender flare. I have a 2" lift over stock in the front and SPC UCA's which have the caster adjusted to center the wheel in the wheel well and I rarely rub with 285/75/16's. The only time I rub is when I'm going around a really sharp right/left turn with a steep up/down hill but it's very minimal. Good luck!

No need to thank me, the credit belongs to the OP. It's on this thread somewhere.
I'm just sharing someone else's great idea!

I'd like to see some sort of pad for the window sill where I rest my left elbow. The door has no padding there.

This same pad may fit the bill. I haven't installed the one on the passenger side yet. Let me get back to you and I'll set it on there and take a pic.

Here you go. Same pad on the drivers door armrest. I think it works. Versatile little son-of-a-gun. Oops! Gun. Can I say that?:D
