    That's all pretty standard stuff to replace on an older truck. Bet it drove like new afterwords. Control arm (and leaf spring) bushings will help seal the deal though.

    Even if you go nuts and get Kings and such, it's still less than a a year's worth of car payments on a new truck...

    Talking about just the outer tie rods? I got mine from Toyotaparsdeal.com for $47 each.

    edit - nevermind I see you're referring to the inners, I went with 555 branded ones from Lowrange Offroad for way cheaper than OEM.

    yeah I just edited my post above, I went with the Moog 555 branded inners for way less $$ from LROR. Toyota parts deal has the inner tie rods for $153 each, that's crazy

    Makes no sense to me, it's a pretty small chunk of metal. When I compared my old OEM ones to the 555 ones I installed they were identical, I have no worries about the 555s being inferior.

    The outer tie rods I feel it's more crucial to go OEM because those more commonly break on the trail.

    The 555's I have seemed pretty identical to the OEM ones I removed. It's not like the OEM uses thicker metal, as far as I can tell. There's also the school of thought that you want your weak point to be the thing that is easily replaced.

    It's just a hunk of metal with a joint and a stake washer, the OEM price is crazy for that if you ask me. You can get the OEM lower ball joints for about the same price and those are more material/more design to them.

    Generally 555 is the go-to brand for aftermarket on here, if not OEM. I am a proponent of using OEM for pretty much everything but some things like the inner tie rods I just can't stomach how much $$ it is. If they were a known failure point then I would think differently, but I think the 555s are more than fine for this application.
