Lived in WA. State for six years, while there I had a friend that I did a lot of backpacking with. On the drive back from a MT. Saint Helens trip the subject of Bigfoot came up and I made the comment that I thought all the Bigfoot sightings were BS he replied "you just haven't lived here long enough" this from a guy that lived in the PNW is whole life. I didn't press him on his comment because I was kind of of taken back by it since this is a guy that's level headed and grounded.

I also lived in Washington for a bit. I never saw one either, but the belief is strong out there.

Yes it is. Which makes me think there is something to the whole thing. I really dont think all these reports could be lies, misidentifications, etc. Even if 95% are fakes or whatever your still left with a good size chunk of creditable reports/sightings.

Each year millions and millions of people go afield, hikers, hunters, fishermen, nature lovers and many many more. Yet there is not the tiniest bit of evidence of the existence of BF. No skeletal remains, no teeth, no hair or hide, no dna, nothing, nada, zero, zilch. Nothing can be that elusive. With all the hunters venturing into the forests some hunter would have shot one by now if they existed. And they supposedly have been spotted all over the world but no one on earth can furnish any hard irrefutable evidence. BF is s fantasy, a fable and nothing more.
I’m an avid outdoorsman and hunter and have spent thousands of nights and days in the wilderness. I’ve had some scary and very strange experiences but not one can I prove was BF related. But believe what you want.

I am starting to think with all the systematic and random drone activities in the coming years more stuff is going to be spotted. Or not.

I climbed a lot in the North Cascades, and even though I never had an experience where I was convinced I saw something, I did have times where I felt like I was being watched. I usually brushed it off as being paranoid and young. I think there is something to it anyway. Hell, just a few years ago, we thought giant squid were a myth... and now we have identified specimens that could easily wrap up a small fishing vessel.

My favorite conspiracy theory is aliens though. Those are 100% out there. Believe it.

Here's my crazy argument against: The more complex an organism is, the higher the percentage of deviant behavior within its given population. Every sighting of a mythical creature never involves a capture, the mythical creature always outfoxes the teller of the tale. Nobody has found the sasquatch-dumbass yet, the one that turns around and goes "oh shit, humans! Sup?". For that matter, no ones reported the pervert squatch either, the one that is the social outcast of the squatch group but still needs to get his squatch rocks off so he's taking it out on the fuzzy woodland creatures of the forest. When I start hearing stories of genuine sasquatch fuckups, like there has to be one that raids coolers for your S'mores or something, thats when the stories become believable.

Nothing can be that elusive, and you are a hunter? Have you ever put a bear tag in your pocket and gone bear hunting? I have never seen a bear in season. Not once. There is your proof. I think the argument is that BFs are intelligent beings - not too far off from our ancestors. So they should be able to hide themselves reasonably well. And if you assume they have the smelling and hearing of other animals, it makes sense that they would know of our whereabouts long before we would know of theirs.

I agree, we don't have hard evidence, but the lack there of doesn't preclude their existence. Take giant squid for example. Or the recent imaging of a black hole which has only be theorized until now... or gravity which has the scientific equivalent of anecdotal evidence. Now, I wouldn't be above admitting that the "stories" are likely a little over blown, and we will likely be disappointed at the real thing.

Have you considered that we are the genuine sasquatch fuckups? I mean, look at who we voted in as president... and all the genuine sasquatch fuckups that are running against him. The assumption is that Sasquatch is the missing link, but maybe we are just the broken misshapen link and dont know it yet.

I think we all know it deep down. Humans are the second most deviant species on the planet. (Dolphins pull some fucked up shit, yo.).

We live in an age where the oceans have been explored, mountains climbed, etc. so there isn't much left that is really unknown about the planet. Because there aren't many mysterys left the idea that something may lurk in the shadows like a sasquatch is the attraction for most people.

Im pretty sure theyre still discovering hundreds of new species per year in the ocean, some of which were thought to be extinct for thousands of years, and same in the jungles across the world. theres still tons of places and things that we have no idea about yet.

True, but weren't talking about some obscure fish that 99% of the population has never heard of before. Most people have heard of sasquatch.

Edit: plus nothing else comes close to the mystique of bigfoot, which was my point.
