Looks really nice! Almost like my 08. I would totally touch myself frequently to have it back. I will say I do love my 06 I have now.

It is...less time these days to work on the truck so this truck worked out perfect.

check this one out NorCal TW peeps - i'm calling around for quotes (labor only) to install gears and lockers in both clams. the range in prices is friggen amazing.

Rear End Specialities, San Jose: $1,800
    Gearmaster, San Jose: $2,300
The Rear End Shop, Livermore: $1,300

    i mean, c'mon. FU $2,300! i thought $1,800 was borderline exorbitant.

40 of Lazer to the one who guesses where i will be taking my business.

these quotes are for bringing in the truck. Rear End Specialities quoted $1,500 if i were to take the thirds out myself. i didn't ask for quotes from the other two.

Does that include the rebuild kit?

The difference between them might be whether they reuse the bearings or not.

I'd recommend rebuilding it all while in there if you're not already considering it.

Pulling the third is easy. Clamshell is a bit more involved. I’d still do it yourself and then take to shop. I paid something like $300 for the rear gear install labor. Front I bought assembled from ECGS

i have all the parts - Nitro gears with master install kits and ARB lockers. i just need labor. everyone knew this when quoting.

i'm also going to see if they can install the ECGS bearing. we'll see how this goes.

i looked into this but i can't find the savings. there is a $300 difference at Rear End Specialities but it's not worth it to me to do the work then find a way to bring parts to the shop then pick up the parts and reinstall. i prefer to pay $300 for this service.

$300 more and you don’t have to do any of the dirty work sounds pretty good to me.

i'm just blown away at the range - $1,300 to $2,300. San Jose shops are super rapey.

Had rear end specialties do my gears about 2 years ago. I brought in the truck and parts, including ecgs bearing but no lockers. Charged me $1000.
