I have never seen a mix up like that. I have bought winchester white box 100 ct and come up short a round every now and then. But NOT different calibers. It being in the middle of the box makes you wonder what happened.

M45 Clone is what you want then. It will be a more modernized 1911 for you. If it’s worth the cost anyways. Colt is not the one making the best 1911s anymore and i would consider 1911s today to be a advanced gun fighters pistol. Reason being, there’s more rules to running it, like riding the safety, and a locked and cocked carry. But that’s none of my business.

Ive actually had the same thing happen and i don't own a 380 or any ammo for one so i know it came from the factory like that. Im not sure how dangerous it is if you actually fired it accidentally though.

Depends on the gun and it’s pressure ratings. I supposed if it was a .380 that could handle +p then you might get away with it.
Logic would have it if you fire a 9mm in a .380 enough times you potential for catastrophic failure would increase. The 9mm can have 10,000 more PSI then a 380 varying in ammo brand and type

    Congrats woodchuck!
I have a 1991 A1 that I really like. Bought it back when they first came out.
I got an after market trigger for it and worked it up for zero slop and no takeup. Also put some Hogue finger groove grips on it and ditched the series 80 stuff. It was pretty easy to do and I like it even more than the satin nickel govt. Model 70 I got from my dad.

Not a bad idea but he will have a 10/22 and a 22/45 to shoot. I am now thinking more along the lines of a collectors set that we will shoot together and when I pass away a long long time from now he would inherit mine to complete the set.

This set is only $25k

Thanks, he is supposed to be born in December. This wouldn’t be a bad set. Then my gun would be bigger than his.

That’s a good idea. get something you still would shoot and not just safe queens. Good luck.
Consider engraving his name or a special saying or something.

If he buys a Colt his sons name will already be on the side....

I agree though, get something (doesn’t really matter as long as it’s something you would want to shoot) that you both can shoot but would be an heirloom type firearm.

They will definitely be something we will be shooting together. Never saw the point of owning a gun you aren’t willing to shoot.

Tell him he can only have them if he can properly take them down, clean and put back together in working order without any help from instructional videos/pamphlets...etc ;)

Can anybody recommend a sight pusher?
I'm changing the sights on both my Xd40 & Xd9.
