I see why people end up going SAS with super beefy parts. IFS is a lot to maintain with weak parts for what we do compared to what it was built for. Granted that only applies to parts of your problems and not all your problems though since it wouldn’t help your motor issues. But maybe it’s time to swap in an FJ80 rear and long travel the front if you don’t want to slow down? I’m sure the extra travel might help soften shit up on the abuse you are throwing down?

I picked it up at a local parts house. I have them in all our families vehicles. Very handy little flashlights.

Possibly. If I did an axle swap and LT'd the front, the rear would need to get LT'd too, and that would be an expensive project. Don't even want to add up the price of a new axle with gears and a locker.

I can fix a lot of parts for that price, but there is value in not having to fix my pile all the time.

I would really like LT though, and it might result in me driving faster and breaking even more parts. :anonymous:

Installing a winch, directions are vague.

Does anyone know where the connector goes here? Is it nut-connector-crush washer-washer or nut-crush washer-connector-washer?

    I have mods
I'd assemble it in the order shown with the connector first followed by washer, lock washer, nut.

Thanks, when I went to connect it to my corroded battery connectors one actually broke so the winch is on hold for overdue maintenance. Dammit.

Nothing too exciting. Greased the UCA bushings. They were getting a little noisy after letting them go for too long. I read you can do this just by loosening the nut and don't necessarily have to jack up the truck. Is this correct?

And while I was at it, decided to try to address the weird clutch pedal feel I've had lately. Bled the system and topped off the fluid (which was not low).

And lastly, my truck took a selfie outside of my house.

Honestly just a fair lead with a piece of rope and a hook in it.

After I get my battery connectors replaced I’ll be putting in a Smittybilt XRC 9500.

So the dealership was surprisingly reasonable on price for one of the connections. The negative connector however they stated ran to the engine wiring harness so they couldn’t replace the connector without replacing the whole line. $1200...hahahah WHAT?!

Luckily only the positive broke so it’s being replaced. The negative is intact, just doesn’t really get tight due to neglect and corrosion from previous owner. Sometimes I have to jiggle it to get connection.
