Once you're at the lake that road I'm talking about is really easy, literally just a forest road. the trail up to hawkins mt however is the only "difficult" trail in the area.

Haha can you hear my eyes rolling @TimberTiger ??

I agree, plenty of decent spots just don’t be dipshits and shoot across the lake or around a bunch of campers. There is a well used hiking/motorcycle trail at the far end of the lake as well so be mindful of that.

@TimberTiger and I have had quite a few run ins with people making bad decisions of where and when to go shooting around the greater lake cle elum area.

I'm all for guns, but please, please, warn me before hand. My dog is pretty sensitive to things that go BOOM and I will have my roommates dog with me as well, and she is a neurotic nut case.

I'd say some of each? Anyone bringing wieners to the sausage fest? @JimSnell ?

attending list says 21.... I'm anticipating 9 lol

I'm forsure going with the 9:30pm Saturday group but am not staying to eat in the evening, heading home at 4pm. Are any of you guys going to break off from the main group and show us some challenging trail in the area?
What time are you planning on eating?

no set time for eating... assuming we will be grilling all day as people get hungry/show up.

I know there are several of us that are headed down on Saturday and I'm one of those individuals.

Awesome. So Gallagher head lake is going to be the Basecamp of operations Haha. I am not too familiar with the area hopefully others in the group, more familiar with the area, can show us some cool trails nearby.

Once you leave the last straight up forest road the trail system is all contained, so there's no way to really get lost driving around. There are hiking, horse, and single track stuff that goes forever. And yeah, the spots you'd find to shoot are a long ways from camp. Also, I'm going to attempt the hard line on that stump right at the top of hawkins mountain, with stock street tires.

Last question... I see a list of 20 something rigs, but how many people are we actually feeding? could each person list a head count for us? I'll be doing the final shopping tomorrow morning.

I may be bringing as many as 6 friends but we're not staying for dinner and we're bringing our own food.
