It's an area that's obviously important to you, so he wants to let you know that he's important to you.

Start using his tower as your night stand and watch what happens.

Nah he's just dumb. He prefers the oddest places to sleep. When we first got him, he liked to sleep inside the guest bathroom sink, and only there.

He does not have a single cat trait aside from fear of water, and appetite for fish

Wouldn't even be able to get these 2 near my truck for a picture. The only thing they are more scared of than the outdoors is a car ride.

Not a cat person at all, though I’ve always liked them. I spent 6 months gaining the trust of this neighborhood stray who slept in random flower pots up and down my street. The neighbors told me she’s been wandering the street for at least 10 years (we’ve only been here 18 months). After we had to put down our old Scottie last year we decided to make her an indoor cat. She didn’t take to confinement well at first but surprisingly she only went potty in the litter box and only scratched the cardboard scratcher we bought her. She doesn’t claw and she doesn’t bite. She lets us brush her and trim her nails without to much fuss too. Loves her routine and loves lap time, basically the perfect cat. She loves chilling in the backyard with me too, doesn’t try to jump the fence or escape in any way. This will probably be my first and last cat because I don’t want to deal with the growing pains of a young cat. But she’s perfect.

We’re moving to Hawaii next month and it cost a fortune to get her all up to date with shots and tests that the state requires but I’m sure she’s going to love hunting cockroaches on the island

Because it’s one of the coolest places to be, i.e. the porcelain doesn’t retain heat.

She looks like she has a mix of Maine Coon or Forest Cat. Is she physically bigger than an average sized cat?

Depends on the time of year. Late spring to early fall, they look for the coolest places to escape the heat and humidity because their fur naturally holds heat in. If your house is cold in the winter, then they’ll bury themselves in warmer spots, to include your lap more often.

Ollie buries himself in my lap year round regardless of the weather.
He dislikes the TV at a high volume though and will leave if it’s too much for him.

Don’t think so, she’s about the size you’d expect a cat to be:notsure:

I'd guess she was someone's indoor pet early in life and was dumped. I wouldn't expect a cat that had lived it's entire life outside would come in and behave like she does. Regardless, she's beautiful and thank you for taking her in and loving her
