Just curious how big of a pain were those to remove? I have the same ones on my truck.

What did you replace them with? How close are they in color to the DRL’s?

It wasn’t hard, the install instructions are linked in 1st post (there’s also a video you can search for)- all you need to do is back track the installation process
Replaced with the morimoto amber xb fogs. It’s not an exact match but seemed pretty close… pictures are on 1st post comparing the both options on the fogs to the drl

This was a dealer or port addon

Here is a link for a review on them- for those that don’t like to read. Mine had em also- IMO, they match the DRLs pretty good. When I had them- I’d forget to turn on the H/L’s at night because the DRL are pretty bright. Good quality- otherwise Toyota would’nt have add it as an option.

How do you like the Morimotos compared to the original ones? I have some of the 2 in 1's I plan on replacing, but I heard the Morimotos aren't the brightest. Also, did you ever get anyone to buy yours? I was thinking of selling mine too.

I love them but I also lean to pure amber rather a yellowish. And brightness would be a difficult one to compare properly IMO in this case… you comparing a amber color to a white light (most other dogs are white)? I have 43k or 45k (maybe it’s 48, I can’t remember) hids so I like the combo. It took getting used to at first because it’s a pure amber but now it’s weird if they were off. I keep mine on all times and use as drl lights to.

    yes 2n1 sold

One question... as I said, I'm planning on taking out and selling the 2 in 1 fogs that came with my truck, and I'm getting some diode dynamic ss3 lights to replace them. If I remove the whole 2 in 1 kit, does that include the main fog light wiring, meaning I would have to buy a new wiring harness for the new fogs? Or does the kit only include the wiring for the LED DRL, and the fog wiring has to already be on the truck?

1st post links pdf instructions for install (reverse for removal)
    A37B2C69-DBC6-425A-A849-DD32B86FEE3D.jpg

This is a dealer or port add on… if you don’t have factory fogs this add on will not work by itself. Do not try and remove your factory harness- again refer to the install instructions to see what’s done in order to reverse it. It really is straight forward and don’t recall any hiccups. I may have de pinned 1 of the connectors in the cab in order to fish it back out of the firewall without cutting but can’t remember, it’s been 2-3 yrs

Thanks for the help. One last thing- do you remember how you took the wires out through the firewall? I finally got everything unattached and disconnected, but there's a huge chunk of silicone sealant holding the wires in place at the firewall and I'm trying to figure out how to get them out.
