My only advice is... Be sure to shop around for the right body shop. You are not obligated to use the one the insurance company suggests. Ask to see examples of their work, have them explain their repair process (replacement parts, bondo, painting, etc). Don't compromise and they'll get your truck looking good as new.

Also, be sure to negotiate the diminished value with the insurance company. Now that you have an "incident" on your car fax, it will reduce the resale value of your truck.

Yeah, cheap insurance. My front end was hit by a drunk diver a few years back and the insurance said it was just the control arms and some body damage... four more trips back to the mechanic's and it turns our the alternator was cracked too, along with everything in between. Take lots of pics. The insurance will only pay for what you can prove... in my case, they did pay. That's actually how I ended up with a Tacoma, because my Chevy broke down.

Sorry about the truck man. It looks like a healthy amount of damage, but nothing too serious. No evidence of effecting how the truck drives (maybe radiator and some other cooling bits, but easy for a shop to replace.) A good body shop will have it back to normal in no time.

Most of your damage looks like sheet metal and the grille and hood...should not be any frame issues, BUT have it fully checked out by a reputable body shop. Unless it was actually dragged by the trailer (?), it's mostly cosmetic type damage.

I drove a semi for YEARS, and there's very little down low enough to do frame damage...

OP demand OEM parts, take it to a few body shops. If their insurance is being a pain in the as and worse comes to worst use your insurance, they'll sue the other insurance company for the damages and your rate should not be affected. Do your research and only take it to the best local shops none of that MACO shit

How would one best approach a sport hood replacement :gossip:

Researching local shops as we speak. Def only using oem parts, and looking into the diminished value claim.

Have the body shop order the sport hood which is the same cost as the flat and you pay the extra for the scoop.

You need a TRD Pro grill too! I’m sure some tabs are busted off that one.
