    I think it’s a distant cousin of them.
    Quick run down of my story I was 17 at the time went camping during spring break on the western slope in CO with my girlfriend at the time. My family has a cabin out that way been hunting, fishing and hiking plenty know the area well. Anyhow we drove to a trailhead and hiked another 5-7 miles or so into the woods.
    Setup camp right inside where the tree line ends about 11-11.5.
    There was a little stream about 50 yards behind us one spot it was kinda backed up made a nice little pool. Was about 2am we heard what sounded like heavy drops of rain hitting the tent but was just one every couple of minutes I’m thinking a peeble. Then about 30min later we heard a super loud splash and a boulder hitting the bottom of that pool scared us half to death. Scrambled out of the tent and fired in the air a .22 a couple times just sheer panic I guess.
    We stayed up all night next to the camp fire till sun up we went and checked out the area. No footprint but the grass was trampled down at least 1.5x wider than my shoulders.
    The size of the rocks I could barley turn over it would of taken 2 pro strong men to toss one about 4 feet no way up that high would someone be doing that. Which opened me up to the idea of Yeti.
