After much research and head scratching I bought a lightly used '18 Tacoma double cab long bed TRD Offroad. Intended use is as a DD and ski rig to take to the mountain. Still trying to figure out what everything does and why. Lesson learned today was that the plastic bed is slicker than snot so I need to get a bed mat to keep things from sliding all over the place. We shall see what I learn tomorrow...

If it was like the 2016 I drove.
I’d learn what the ECT button does.

I have never driven a 3rd Gen with the TSB Updates to the ECU.
So yours may drive much better than the one I drove did?

P.S. This is by no means a bash towards 3rd Gen Tacomas.
I’d own one if some one would buy me one.

Hahaha - The manual was MIA in the truck so the dealer ordered one for me but it's yet to arrive. I had to google the ECT button to figure out what it was and how to use it.
