Of course. They can’t take abuse like Hondas can. Plus, like you said, the owners...

The early days of turbo Subarus in the US were pretty good. I do miss them.

I am in Amesbury, MA and have zero off road/trail experience but know it would be a fun thing to get into. Any local trails. Willing to drive an hour or so. Suggestions?

Unfortunately not much. @DrFunker knows the trails in the state parks in the berkshires that would probably be a good starting point. I usually ride Jeep Eater and Old Florida Rd with the least built rig in the group lol

The 'shires have a few roads/trails. :anonymous:
The ones I have been on are very user friendly. :) But there are others (I have not been on) that would be more along the lines of what Drew mentioned above.

I had a Golf immediately prior to that Jetta that was AWESOME. It required nothing, ran to 230k miles before I sold it for good money and was a blast to drive. The Jetta was great to drive, that's why I bought it. VW makes some very fun to drive cars, but holy shit balls was that Jetta an electrical nightmare.

You're up by NH, tons of stuff up there. Check out exploring new Hampshire forums. The Fall crawl is coming up soon, and I there's unlimited spots, and they have different run groups based on experience/ rig setup

There are still spots in the stock-challenging run. But you'd have to not be bashful about trees and pinstripes

@TRDThis I don't know much out in the eastern part of the state, but if you want some nice drives out in Vermont that are paint safe just shoot me a message.
