So I forgot to update but my on board water system is all done. Works really well. Tested it over my last camping trip. No leaks, no bs. Just a nice on board water system.

I build this inside of my tractor supply truck tool box with a 12v 3gpm RV water pump with a 40psi automatic shut off. Also a 13 gallon tank, strainer, basic tube plumbing, hose clamps, a couple RV connectors (fill, vent, and garden hose connector) I used a male/male adapter and a 25’ long coil garden hose with a steel

Here it is in the making. Now it’s all mounted, wired up, and loomed plumbed, and pretty. I even put a couple lights inside the tool box which aren’t shown.

    Testing:
You can also see it all mounted in this.
    https://youtu.be/_KEZLcYgHA8

Now it’s all done but I didn’t take an updated picture of the internals. That will come soon, I promise. Here it is from the outside.
    B3CCAAA9-D574-46BF-9CDC-B6A8DD631B49.jpg

    Here it is in action:
    https://youtu.be/3mzOeWFOkUw

Here it is connected to my fillet table which I use as a camping sink and counter:

I’d also like to add after my 3 day camping trip I still had about 6-7 gallons of water in the tank. I used it for dishes, washing my hands, brushing my teeth, etc. I think 13 gallons would last me a whole week if I was conservative with it.

Slick system Nick. If I built one, the thing I'd not copy is the switch. I'd need a visual - either an on light or a rocker switch so I could see it was off from the tent when it occurred to me at 2am - did I forget to turn off the pump! LOL. Nice build.

I could easily add an indicator light next to the switch. I might do that as I did leave it on. Good thing is the pump shuts off at 40psi. the system doesnt leak so never kicks on unless youre using it.

That is pretty slick. I have a similar setup in the works, with a 5 gallon tank, and was looking for ideas on how to mount/contain it all, so that I don't need to have it onboard all the time. Mounting in a storage box like this hadn't occurred to me yet, but I'm shamelessly stealing it now.

Let me know if you’d like a hand. After building this I definitely learned a few things.

Finally have something decent for rear suspension. Dakar’s and 5125s.
