I think they're factory, if that's the case then they have 56,958

After air filter, spark plugs, throttle body clean, and MAF clean, the truck feels smoother and starts up quicker. I love it

Electrode is worn a little and the top is a little sooty, so slightly rich. Looks good for 60k miles, though.

So I noticed that the passenger side were Denso and the driver side were NKG, is that normal from the factory?

I didn't take a picture, but everything was squeaky clean when we bolted everything back together

It had just a little tiny bit on residue on both sides

Take your code reader over to his house and see what the long term fuel trims are reading

Long term trim is the really useful one..

-Anything less than 5-10% is ok, means the pcm has good fuel control. Close to zero is basically perfect.

-positive % means its seeing lean at the 02 sensors and trying add fuel (compensate for something)

    - negative % mean its seeing rich (lack of oxygen) at the 02 sensors and trying to take fuel away

Pretty normal for a copper core plug, thats the old school plug design that has gotten er done for a long time. Toyota uses them in the 4.0 because they do the job and there's no reason to get fancy

Yep, the iridium doesn't transfer across the gap like the copper does

    Thats a good question.
I'm pretty sure the iridium plugs would burn hotter but I think it has more to do with the strength of the coil pack. We learned all that stuff in school but I can't remember anymore lol, in the shop we just stick with what the manufacturer recommends

The coil pack and the spark plug work together as a pair, it's a good idea to stick with what's recommended.

Toyota can't have a bunch of unburned fuel going out the tailpipe, that would cause excessive emissions and there are strict guidelines about that stuff depending on where the vehicle is going to be sold. If the copper plugs weren't getting it done they would have to put something better in there
