Safes travels home Ken. Yes, saw them last weekend for Sim's party. Love it when my gift is the hit!!! Most definitely makes my day.

HiYa Rob, thanks for asking, neck was always okay. Went to a clinic down here and got some muscle relaxers to help the back and was finally able to get some sleep. Left calf and ankle still an issue but will go see the doc when I get home. I forsee many Xrays and MRI's in my future. Trying my very best to enjoy the vacation. Resting on the beach is tough especially when it's a short walk to the bar.:D

    :hattip::wave:

:woot::woot::yay:For Grandmoms gift being the hit. Glad for you that it made their day as well as yours. Always the best with the kiddos. Thanks for the safe travels. As long as there are no hurricanes, we'll be good. Take care.

Good evening all. I tried to check in earlier today but for some reason could not connect to TW.

Good morning all. Met with adjustor from the Good Hands people. Seems you are not supposed to make a claim after a hurricane. The allowable repair amounts seem to be in line with 1965 price guides.

What licensed contractor in the entire country would remove a beadboard porch ceiling for $100?

Compared to the Bahamas we have nothing to complain about. Sent a donation to Water Missions Intl. It's a start for a devastated country.

    Good morning all!

Robert: Most people do not realize how important water really is. Providing a water well for an impoverished area will touch the lives of 15,000 people. Your donation to a wonderful organization will help thousands of people.

Talk about feeling it the next day: we've been painting the garage. High ceilings, weird angles, tons of junk that needs to be painted around. I ache just thinking about it! Primer/sealer will be wrapped up this morning hopefully, but it's all ceiling and I'm not looking forward to it one bit. Why do I remember painting as being fun and satisfying? Must be that selective memory thing.

Oh and getting up early: I was up at 4:30 this morning. Once the synapses start firing I have no chance of falling back to sleep. The cats think they're going to get fed, and then they whup on each other when they realize I'm not going to feed them yet, and then go back up to lay around in the bedroom with my wife in the hopes of getting food when she gets up (it works). I do give them some treats at least. Then I sit down and do my social media thing. :pccoffee:

Oh and happy Friday the 13th ***and*** full moon!

Sometimes I've noticed he'll get busy hunting or fishing, or both, and be off for a while. :notsure:

    Morning all:
All is well, just moved my chair to a quiet place on the porch for awhile so I don't say or do anything to offend anyone, thanks for the concern.
If you need me to start the process of telling someone to " GET OFF THE LAWN :infantry:" because they aren't welcome here, I'll do my job even though I'll get :crapstorm: for it!
I kind of took over Jim's job of doing that!!! :)

Hi Rob. I am getting ready to start grilling dinner. Today it is chicken breast and thighs. Low and slow using the Weber Kettle.

Glad your okay Carl, kinda missed seeing you on here and at our age...well you know. I have sort of listened to @MQQSE about not "taking the bait" when it comes to some posts. My tongue has more bite marks than man in a snake pit. But all is good. Seems religion, sex, politics and now guns are taboo. I think I'll join you in that quiet spot on the porch:D

Lowes had free burgers & hotdogs for contractors in the parking lot. I was tempted but have lost 10 lbs in 3 weeks with new diet. Down to 180 from 200 last summer in wheelchair.
