You might have to wait a bit longer. We have some storms to the northwest of us but I don't think they will even make it to us.

    ‘Morning all,

    Nice pic!

We’re starting to see some color above the White Mtns in NH too. Some yellows are really popping.

Didn’t realize it until a couple of weeks ago but we seem to be having a pretty good gypsy moth invasion.

    Good morning.
No plans for today. May go do a little shopping. Been reading Maner's thread too much about meats and smoking briskets and I haven't fired a grill or smoker in a few months. I've got a few racks of ribs in the freezer that need to come out and I do have a craving for brisket.

Manet smokes meat like millennials vape. I think we’d have a vaping epidemic if someone made a brisket & ribs cartridge...

18 days now since last measurable rain. Nothing but dry and hot for the next 10 days.

    97° yesterday. 94° today.

    ‘Morning @Cuffs

Did you see/hear any wolves on the Isle? (I don’t know it it’s still going on but it was the location of a longitudinal study of wolf-moose dynamics..)

Yes! I’ve been following that program closely!

No sightings. But 3 of the nights we could hear them howling. I think there’s 14 (they just added one more last week). They had not been ‘packing up’ yet-according to the researchers. We heard 3 distinct voices howling together one night.

    Lots of moose seen.
    A dozen garter snakes.
    Painted turtle.
    Osprey.
    Beaver. The rodent kind.

The only downside to the trip was that I got a screaming infection of swimmers itch on my lower legs.
