    It almost seems like the dimensions of the parking spot need to be revised for the 2020s.
    Modern pickups are just gigantic compared to 20 years ago, and I'm wondering if modern parking lots are still being painted with the old (now antiquated) spacing/layout.
    That guy in the white Ram was probably like, "Well, I know I can't even remotely fit into one spot, so I might as well balance the truck between two spots..."

    I agree some parking lots should be remeasured and repainted, however these spots at this store are plenty big enough imho

    I don't fault the Dodge at all. they are parked correctly in a parking spot. If that was the next available spot, you're dam right I would park there. hell, i would park there anyway unless it was actually the farthest spots away from the store

    I know a guy who has a new F350 double cab, long bed, daully. His truck is so long he physically has to take 2 spots

    Slippery slope. Modern pickups are gigantic because people keep buying them. If people discover that they cant park them, eventually an equilibrium is reached. Fitting the infrastructure to the demand only increases the demand.

    Speaking of, if you buy a crew cab with an 8 foot bed, you need to accept a few compromises, like parking in the back of the lot with the trailer towers and other oversized vehicles. The front of the lot is for people who can fit in the spaces.
