This is my theory - and that’s all it is - based on my experience with the big American made brands.

The problems don’t necessarily stem from the design so much as their level of quality control. Even if the design is inherently good, if QC is spotty, you will still get a good percentage that won’t live up to the full potential of the design. That’s been my experience with them through the fleet at work. A very few will be stellar and never have any problems, but another one of the same model, that is for all intents and purposes identical, will be a POS and require constant attention.

I have no way of proving that or why that may be - although I have my suspicions- but that is another topic for another day.

This I can’t argue with but only give my experience. I can say I’d never buy Chevy or ford again. Those two brands are dead to me because of first hand reliability issues. This is my first Jeep and based on my experience, won’t be my last. My experience with the Tacoma was exactly the same. Only reason I swapped over was because Jeep is the only 4 door with decent room in the rear, manual transmission with a manual transfer case

I’ve said this many times before. I love everything about the Gladiator. I love the power, the way it drives, looks, comfort, roominess, etc. I just don’t trust it and that is the bottom line for me.

Same, I would have kept with a Toyota as well if they had a truck that could meet my towing demands. I really had my heart set on a 2020 Tundra TRD Pro (in Green) and it just wasn't going to happen when I thought through my towing needs.

I didn't know FCA had completely redesigned the Jeep platform to make it a Fiat.

I don't know how much I would worry about it. I doubt they're in the shop long for warranty issues and great resale value.

I'm really not a fan of the gladiators. I stopped by a dealer and they were marking it up by almost DOUBLE. who would pay that??

They’re so bizarre looking from the back and oddly disproportionate. Maybe with offset and larger tires/fenders and a lift it may look ok?

I detailed cars a huge dealership for all of ten months (got sick of it for numerous reasons). This particular dealer was selling Gladiators at sticker...

I feel bad for those poor bastards who bought one of these at retail!

I dont think they are as hot a seller as they advertise. All those limited edition pre-sold jeeps there are many at dealers on lots for sale. I could of bought one that sat for 2 months for full sticker then they offered $6500 off and I told a jeep buddy of mine and he bought it next day and ended up getting 7500 off. I think they are nice and I have driven then stock and with lift and 37s and they ride well. Once the discounts start and get to 7 to 10k off they will sell quite a few.

At least their frames haven’t been rusting out for the last 30 years without a fix.
