I guess your 1.05 tune choice will depend on whether you want performance or a milder base tune. If you select the gearlock option you will get a performance tune by default.

My only experience with the 1.05 tune is the 87 gearlock version. 91 octane gas is just too much $$ so I’ve never tried it.

Try them all, giving them some miles to settle. By the time you’re happy with a particular 1.05 version, 2.0 final will be ready to go. :)

So just tried to flash and I got a message telling me 12.4 volts. Please turn everything off to continue. Of course I continue and get an error message telling me it was incomplete. So do I need to put battery on a charger overnight?

Should be fine, just cycle the key and erase DTCs and try to flash again

    There's a 4.88 version available?

so when 2.0 drops what does “5.29 specific gear tuning (via user submission)” mean???

is this saying you’ll have to track your specific driving of each truck with 5.29s because there can’t be an generic 5.29 tune? or am i interrupting this wrong from page one?

There was a 4.88 gear lock on the initial BETA release of 2.0 that was only for 04B04 ECU's. Later revisions of the Beta 2.0 including the OLE version have not had a 4.88 option.

Haha, yeah, I'll probably just get it installed and then 2.0 will come.
I think I'll just run the 87 performance tune. it's getting close to the colder months where I'll be traveling a lot for holidays etc, so gas price wins out. Come spring, when I get to towing and such, I'll stick the 91s in.
    Thanks!!

It wasn't the voltage, I've done mine in the 11s just fine. You had it on but not in accessory? There is also a slightly different drop down option that tripped people up but I can recall which one off the top of my head. Canbus something option or other, LOL. Someone else will help us with that.

I just wish I didn't have to disconnect my MaestroRR I use with my aftermarket HU. It interferes with the flash process otherwise :/ I don't flash that often but I have to take apart the dash and pull the wires (easy enough now) every time. Perhaps I can just pull a radio fuse:der:

Does your headunit have the ability to display car stats (ie. RPM, MPH, AFR...etc)? If so, you just need to disable OBD2 communications in the headunit settings before flashing. I have to do that on my Pioneer headunit to get it to flash.

I used EROM 2.0 4.88 beta for over 1000 miles and enjoyed the tune very much. The shift points were great except for the quick 3-4 as some have mentioned in the past. This tune allowed my heavy (7k) rig on 35's travel mountain passes and 80 mph zones with ease.

I then upgraded to 2.0 OLE and regretted upgrading since it lost the power that the 4.88 2.0 beta provided. I do think the 2.0 OLE is better (smoother) and more linear, but without the customization for 4.88, I ended up reflashing to the 2.0 4.88 beta.

Can't wait for the final release.

OK I am confused. Did everything right up until "flash it" where I dont get any error messages. Just simply says this. Ideas? Tried it with keys in both positions and cleared DTC's before and after

Well Steve, I had my accessory position completely off and flashed it that way. I used to leave the accessory on with the truck off but it wouldn't do it with the new app it seems.Either way that's the only way I got the truck to the 2.0 beta.

Is your ECU ID 04B02 ?

Verify that you are flashing the correct tune file.
