Why do some TRD PRO's have the black overfenders and some have painted overfenders?

On Toyota website, it shows they are black. But in their marketing pictures (and several YouTube videos) they are painted.

Personally, I like the Army Green with painted overfenders.

The pictures of the painted could be the Canadian model or perhaps a prototype. I personally like the matte black over fenders on the green truck.

I guess the black isn't so bad....

Either way....I definitely like the graphics on the rear quarter panel and hood.

I'd prefer one with out the sticker package. Wonder if that comes standard. I like the small PRO badge on the door but don't feel it necessary to advertise in such a big way across the bed. ha ha ha!

Looks like it's an accessory add-on.

It's proudly saying "I didn't want to buy an OR and do a suspension swap" loud and clear.

But graphics and defender and snorkel were probably all installed at the port/dealer. Might be a regional thing as the fender looks colormatched and not factory like the other models.

They look like flowers or something that should be on a Audi. Not a truck wheel design by any means, however better than the current sport wheels but that’s not saying much.

I believe the painted ones were just pre-production ones and you will see the normal black ones when they come out.

Eventually the pictures, specs, ebrochure, and actual production of the vehicle will be insync. Doesn’t seem to be the case yet.

People, the configurator pictures are not the Bible and are just a representation, it’s always been like this, this is not a hard concept to grasp.

It’s also not hard to take pictures of the production product instead of using renders.

Or go full crazy like me and sell the Fox suspension and the Trd pro wheels as soon as I leave the lot with my Pro. Trying to work out a deal with the dealership where they keep the Fox suspension and knock off $2k of the price. Then install aftermarket suspension of my choice. Just got a text from the dealer for an October delivery of an MGM Pro.

Been looking at pictures all morning and now I'm starting to sway toward that color (MGM). It looks pretty awesome with blacked out lettering.

Though I'd keep the wheels and shocks!

My last 5-6 vehicles have been white. And I was going to go white again on this one, but thought I’d change it up. Told myself I’d never own another black vehicle and that green is horrible to me. I really want the cement color to be honest. But that MGM color is pretty slick too.

Ya but Toyota doesnt do that, in fact most don't. We've seen pictures of 2020s in the live, the configurator mismatches shouldnt even be in question.

Same with me on the black - I used to be fanatical about keeping my rigs clean but that's subsided a bit. However at the same time, I hate closing the door and leaving visible fingerprints. I like the MGM as well but it seemed like the 'safe' non-black choice so I went with Cement. Really unique color that shows off the lines of the truck and looks great with the contrasting flares and lower front bumper in the OR trim. I do believe a Cement Sport is too much Cement.

Yeah, I like the lighter shades. Especially living on a dirt road. That cement color is really nice. I like the quicksand too. Makes the black accents really pop.

They should be black. The painted ones were pre-production models. I think the painted flares look awful because of the plastic material. Just doesn't flow well next to painted sheet metal.
