Did you know that even when you get components replaced on your Jeep under warranty and you have to wait three weeks for the Totally Integrated Power Module to show up that you won't be given a rental?

I'm beginning to think it has more to do with modern production and an overall lack of a quality labor force. Jeeps with the I6 4.0 were damn near bomb proof. I never had an issue with my 2000 Wrangler and the Jeep Cherokee that was assigned to my dad in the late 80's survived being swamped by a rogue wave LINK in 1992 and kept on going until his department phased them out for newer vehicles a few years later. The Fiat 500 I purchased in 2013 had several recall notices within my first 1000 miles of ownership, and my 2007 Ram had a handful of recalls, but I've had more recall notices for my 2012 Taco than every other vehicle I've owned combined (including the two notifications I've gotten in the last 14 days).

With Fiat you can only drive their vehicles two places...to and from the dealer.

The TIPM has been used since 2006 across the entire Chrysler lineup, what's your question exactly? It's a problem that goes far deeper than a "first year problem"...

...”everything in moderation” types, you roll the “nickleback” of vehicles. Hanes her way wearing, failed Eagle Scouts of yore. You bag out your poo because you’re snowflakes...Half-caff drinking, never used a winch but got one just in case you get stuck driving slowly over “features”, bullied by your soft-handed boss so you hit the trails to let off steam, waving at your eunuch brethren...

I don't see any current issues regarding the tipm.

My post regarding 1st year production models applies to all manufacturers.
    It's a .....thing.

Ok, I guess it's not a big problem if it only affects 13 years of vehicles. I don't think that Chrysler ever replaced any of their rotted out Jeep or Dodge frames either...

I'm just asking for clarification if this is still currently an issue for fca. You asked what my question was, I'm asking.
    Because I don't know.

"Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV is preparing to recall about 18,000 Jeep Wranglers because of a faulty weld in the frame of the popular SUV that can cause a sudden crash."
    https://www.autonews.com/article/20...l-inspect-2019-wrangler-for-frame-weld-defect

Jeep frame rot is VERY well known and why one is very careful when buying a used Jeep. Go to any Jeep forum. Shit they have aftermarket patched and pieces top weld on...
