Well I’m going to remove the rubber bushings and either install Energy suspension poly bushings with the grease-able pin or the Dobinsons poly kit. Reading reviews on both now.

The Dobinsons is literally double the price...but the energy suspension kit says it’s only good up to 2013’s but the leaf springs are supposedly the same from 05+ so I’m kind of confused...

 

I have some off a 17 with about 10k miles on them.

 

If Scotty’s don’t work out, pm me an offer if you want. I’ve got a set with 17 miles on them. Bought my Alcan’s and waited until the dealer did the TSB springs swap on mine. Drove them home and pulled them straight off the truck.

This is what mine is doing. But it squeaks like that going down the road.

 

Toyotas are notorious for squeeky springs. I sprayed fluid film in between my leaf packs and they have never squeeked on me. Try that first so you don't have to go through the hassle of swapping out springs.

 

mine was exactly the same, I tried to cure it but finally just bought new leafs.

 

mine never squeaked...and are free to get them out of my way lol

 

What is fluid film?

 

my oem ones never squeaked, aftermarkets do, but I can't hear it in the cab so idc if people here it in parking lots lol

 

My 63s don't squeak

 

Mine just squeak going down the road. A constant chirping noise that I can hear from the cab. Like really bad. I could tolerate if it was just bumps but literally just the small vibrations from having a lift and 33’s and such makes it chirp and squeak down the road and I’m just over it. Figured since I’m adding the AAL anyways might as well make a swap and replace the rubber bushings with greaseable poly ones while I’m at it

Yea I don’t clip in anymore. Too many knarly wipeouts or just slow motion falls on technical stuff. I run big flat Deity petals now with vans. Much mo betta

 

It's a spray lubricant the folks use up north to keep rust off their frames and works really well. On my 2nd gen, I've sprayed the bushing ends and in between the leaves of my springs and I've never had any major squeeking in 300K miles of driving.

I sprayed some fluid film on my frame and on the inside of my sliders before I bolted them on. There was some guy here that sprayed fluid film behind his sliders and 2 years later, took them off to repaint and there was no rust on the frame or the sliders.

You can get it at Lowe's on the same aisle as the wd40 and stuff.

 

Ever try Time pedals. They are a much better design. Easy to get out of but still keep you in secure when riding. I hated spd pedals, so hard to get out of and i was always coming unclipped while riding.
