What are you guys seeing Leases for?

I personally hate the idea of msds; even tho i can see how it works for some people. I guess i am old school

I agree. With TFC the annual return is over 20% so there are worse places to park money.

 

It sucks to be out of that money for the lease term but it’s definitely worth the savings during that time imo.

On another note I finally picked up mine this week.

If you sell or buy it early you get the money back then, otherwise yes it sits til the lease end. Can also do a lease transfer and ask the new lessee to pay you your MSDs as well, since they will get them back at lease end.

 

What offset and width are your wheels?

 

They're 17x9 with 4.75 BS and -6mm offset. tires are 265/70/17

Resurrecting an old thread for my first post because it seems to be the most appropriate.

I used Jim / LeaseHackr for my Cement '21 Taco TRD Sport MT / LED / Premium / Tech / Black emblems

$300/month 36months 10k miles

$$ Details were $500 broker fee (and I get a $100 referral if anyone wants to use Jim and uses me as a reference) + $300 1st month to Jim. DAS was $2916 ($216 doc fees + 9Mos MSDS ($2700). If I didn't want to do the MSDS the monthly would increase to $364. (To me the MSDS was a no brainer...)

 

That seems to have changed a little? You had to give Jim a first month on top of his typical fee? Was that due to MSDs or is that his new standard?

Also, how do the MSDs work? Do you simply not pay the first or last 9 months of payments?

 

It seems the first month is collected by Jim and then relayed to the dealership (or they have some kind of arrangement where we collects it as part of his broker fee from the dealership).

But... in the MyTFS app it shows that I paid the first month:


Regarding the MSDS, it shows up a refundable security deposit that I'll get back at the end of the lease (assuming I don't miss any payments) and return the vehicle in appropriate condition:
