Yep, same here. I compared OME, AllPro, Icon and Deaver. I read through several threads and seems that AllPro supposedly gives more lift than OME and are quieter. No real complaints found on Icon, but those are pricey. Deaver were expensive and I saw several complain that they flattened out quicker than expected. I didn't feel like contacting Alcan to get their price, but figure those would be in same price range as Deaver and Icon.

The AllPro kit seemed to include everything I'd need to refurb the rear suspension. They offer a kit with Bilstein 5125's that's a little cheaper, but I wanted to swap to something else. Fox Non-Resi's should be sufficient for now. I wasn't quite ready to make the leap to shock relocation and smoothie Kings. Maybe in a few years after the truck is paid off and Supra is in tip top condition.

Just as an FYI those are the shocks that im having issues with the top hat coming unthreaded... It happened again yesterday... i got it fixed in less than 5 min but i also applied a VERY generous amount of loctite blue to half the entire threads so we will see how long it lasts this time.

Sweet! Let me know if you can snag a deal on that part number and we can work something out. I was looking to order sometime after next Friday (payday) so no big rush.

Is it the same one that kept coming loose or both sides?

Will do. I decided to go ahead and sign up for one when I realized how much stuff the Camaro was going to require.

Hey everybody! Long time lurker here! I just moved to the North Dallas (Hickory Creek/Lake Dallas) area and was curious if anyone knew of any off-roading areas for beginners? I have a stock '17 Off-Road and was looking to find some places to go out. I've done some very mild off-roading in a RWD '02 4Runner before I got my taco, but that was mostly driving fast through mud so I don't get stuck.

Look forward to learning the Dallas/Fort Worth area!

Welcome! Bridgeport OHV is about 45 minutes northwest of us. Im in Lewisville. There are trails all over the park ranging from beginner to rock crawler only. Id recommend going with a group whos been before as the trails arent clearly marked and you can get into a rough area real easily. Ive taken mine out there multiple times in stock trim.

Welcome! Northwest OHV in Bridgeport TX and Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area in Gilmer are your two closest options for legal offroading at a designated park. I would recommend BMRA over Bridgeport as the trails are better marked and easier to navigate in the park. Signage at Bridgeport is horrible and you can easily end up facing some obstacle way past your comfort level.

I saw an interesting article the other day about revenue generated from traffic citations. Hickory Creek gets 24.4% of their revenue from citations. I drive through there often going to Denton and almost always see a Hickory Creek cop sitting on southbound I35E.

They arent NEAR as bad as they used to be. And they've improved the procedure after you receive a ticket as well. Short story time.....

I got a ticket from said I35 HCPD officer in 2001. Cop said I made 3 illegal lane changes without signalling. I was driving a 1991 Camaro and apparently the turn signal relay had gone out without my knowledge. He was also a total and complete asshole about the whole situation but ill leave that be. I called in the next day to see what the damage was and how to proceed. $285 fine, court date 2 weeks later. Seems normal right? I get there. HC only had court once a month for traffic citations and it was in the back room of the BBQ joint right there off I35. Took me 2.5 hours to just pay my ticket and leave.

There is a little hill you have to go over to get onto 35 southbound (I believe it is right past the AMC and Turbeville Rd) that a cop is sitting there almost every morning waiting for people to fly past as they accelerate towards the 35 on ramp. How rude.

I see them there or that last on-ramp before crossing the lake. They like to sit just on the other side of that wall shooting radar down the ramp. Sneaky bastards with the black graphics on the black cars.
