Just ordered these in 265 70 17 to replace my duratracs, can’t wait! Duratracs are super noisy now and I’m over the overly aggressive look of them.

30,000mi update - still wearing evenly all around, 8 to 9/32nds tread remaining all around. this may be the first set of tires I can drive aggressively and still reach the 50k mark. I will say I have noticed a very slight amount of road noise surface in the last couple thousand miles, but that's considering these tires were whisper quiet the first ~25k or so. They are still quieter than my stock goodyears were when I replaced them though. Likely will be replacing these tires with the exact same thing in another year or so.

Thanks for the update! This thread pointed me into getting a set of these a couple months ago. Have about 5k on them now and they are awesome.

Have about 500 miles on mine.
I came from the General Grabber AT2.

Things I’ve noticed way better gas mileage 2+mpg probably due to less weight.

    Less road noise

Hopefully they are as good in the snow as the AT2

Just had these mounted in 265 75 16 on bone stock 2018 TRD OR.

Just had to have them rebalanced...still getting minor vibration. Any one else have this happen?

Update: Rebalancing the tires did help, but there is still a minor vibration while turning or at 65 mph+. It’s minor enough that, if you had never driven the truck before, you might not notice it.

I had the tires done by friends at a tire shop I trust who have worked on Taco’s and full sized trucks. While the AT3 4S doesn’t look as aggressive as something like the KO2, is is a pretty aggressive tire in that it has much bigger lugs and more space between lugs than the factory tires. Pair that with the fact that I did go up one tire size, it may take a few hundred or thousand miles on the tires before it rides 100% just-like-factory smooth.

Doesn’t bother me since these tires have been leaps and bounds better off road and on road than the factory Goodyear’s, in terms of traction, but something to consider.

I may have to change my feedback on these a bit. I have 27k on mine so far and I'm a little worried about the winter. They're wearing faster than I expected. I'll have to measure tread depth when I get home to see exactly where they're at. For the first 10k or so, I had virtually no wear then they started rapidly getting worse.

As it stands right now, I'll see how they are in the first snowstorm. If they're worn to the point where performance is bad, I'll replace them (with something else because with a 30,000 mile life I could have purchased a more winter biased tire).

If they're okay, I'll run them through the winter and probably replace them in the late spring/early summer. They'd have 40k on them then which isn't awful so I'd decide if I want the same or not.

I’m in the same boat, almost to the mile, except I don’t feel that mine are abnormally wearing fast.

Did fine in 4wd this morning, but it’s a long winter...

Do you usually post updates here?
I’m interested to see how mine hold up in Wyoming winters as well. I’m assuming you do a fair amount of highway driving?

I drive anywhere from 70 to 300 miles a day for work including my commute to my desk in the morning and the drive from town back home; the longer days are mostly highway and the shorter ones are 50/50. I’ll post updates in this thread for sure.

The big question I have for my next set, when I size up to 265/75r16... do I do 4S’s again, or try the LT in 265/75r16 C load? Or try the Bridgestone Revo3, which have better winter test results than the 4S on Tire Rack?

I loved my grabber AT2s and you can stud them.
They lasted an insane amount of miles.
I spend a considerable amount of time in the CO and WY mountains.

I wanted a lighter tire this time around and something a little more road oriented

I'll take more measurements when I get a chance, but visually after about 42k, mine don't appear to be more than 1/2 worn so I expect to be able to get through the winter with them most likely and honestly any time I can get great performance out of any tire and it last for 50k, I'm happy... even moreso when they are as great of a value as these

I’m sitting at 8/32” at 25k miles, just measured after rotating my tires. Had a slight sketchy moment this morning on the new snow in 2wd..

    300291ED-1C54-4751-B52E-CB54637A1D27.jpg

thankfully traction control caught it before I got too sideways.

No problems in the deep snotty muddy ruts further out in the woods. In 4wd though. Go figure. 924C733B-BA13-4C16-B064-FB159536CD3C.jpg

The Cooper only comes in XL version 245/70-16. Will a 245 width fit OK on a stock 2016 OR rim? Is Cooper's XL roughly equivalent to a 6-ply rating, beefier sidewalls? Trying to match a tire to good snow traction and rocky Forest Service roads.

Why are you going shorter than stock? 245s will fit
