Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!
How exactly does going to a higher elevation (Denver) with less air density and humidity improve mileage?
    It's bass ackward....

Colder ambient air = less mpg if anything only due to its rich running on start up and longer warm up time.

I dont think humidity will improve mileage...

With the higher elevation I can see how you might get worse mileage. As elevation increases oxygen decreases. BUT at higher elevations that have cold weather, more dense air = more power which would cancel out the less oxygen affect and keep MPG similar..

IDK though those are just THOUGHTS so do not complain to me whether I am right or wrong just post a link so I can better, further educate myself please! Thanks

Filled up today after taking a drive over the mountains to the desert yesterday... some 11 miles of H4, and a mile of L4 included: 17.4 MPG.

If you see people with extremely good mpg and feel bad, remember, this is the internet where people tend to inflate their figures.

My daily commute is 100% city, stop and go, short 5 mile trips. I get between 15-16mpg driving aggressively. I have never gone below 15mpg. On long freeway trips I have see 21mpg.

Mine is down from a freeway av of 26 to 25 mpg. Reg cab 4x4 2.7l .
Im still happy with the mpg. Itll drop to 23 with winter blend here .
Speaking for the 4 cyl . if you arent beating toyotas posted and your maintainance is good , truck not real old , really consider your driving habits. Worst frreeway mpg i got was in snow and gravel roads , freeway speed of 70 WHEN NO SNOW , and a load of hunting gear .....20 mpg.

I get between 19.5 and 20.5 on a weekly basis. And I'm not a grandpa driver. It's about 60% street 40% highway driving.

    Does Plasti-Dip count as a mod ?
Tracking mileage on my 2 week old 4x4 V6 TRD/OR shows 20.5 mpg over the last three tanks of 87.
I'm surprised but pleased it's that high.

I'm right there with you.. (beating you slightly) Curious about the speeds you drive. I know florida is a multiple speed limit state, but hell, you might never see a highway. I'm guessing your driving is almost always under 60.

    A guess.

Its strange that i got just about the same milage (slightly better most of the time) out of my 2004 gmc 5.3 extended cab with 3.73 rear. but, lev vs levII I suppose. The engines sound similar though.. tick tick tick tick...Aluminum blocks.. PFFF.
