    Thankful for this thread!

I've read thought the whole thread and decided to do 5100 all around. 887 up front with 3/8" spacer on passenger side and a 1/2" spacer on driver side.
Also I will be going with some A/T 285s to seal the deal. Cutting the body mounts seems super easy and not a big deal at all. Excited to see the end result!

Removed all of the wheel well liners, I’m going to make some new ones out of 1/8” ABS. Cut 3 1/2” inches out of the bedsides, left tabs for liners. Cut 3” out of the front fenders and left tabs for liners. Cut 2 1/4” out of all four flares, beat the pinch weld flat with a 4lb sledge, and cut the cab mount 3 1/2” out from the frame, even with the fire wall. Tried to get caster to +3.5 with the first alignment, but only got +1.7. Rubs pinch weld, cab mount, and UCA at full lock for now. I’m going to do some more cutting today, and get some wheel spacers. I cut the fenders and flares with a jigsaw and a fine tooth blade, worked great.

Question: I have 265/75/16 tires with 5100 set at 0 and 887s. I also have a 3/8" spacer on passenger side and a 1/2" spacer on driver side. After install I am hearing a click or something like that at each side when going up or down a curb going faster than a couple miles an hour. Any ideas? Could it be the sway bar hitting??

Have you retorqued all the hardware after driving it a bit?

Found my issue last night. I took off the top nut and bushing on passenger side and then stuck my phone over it and snapped a Photo. Turns out my top hat (the one with bushing attaches to it) was damaged so it wasn’t holding the strut rod allowing it to wobble around. The play in the rod caused the clicking noise. Got it all fixed now :)

    Thread revival.

Here is my setup as of today:

    OME 887s
    Toytec .5" spacer driver side
    Toytec .25" spacer passenger side
    SPC UCAs
    Bilstein 5100s

    GeneralSpringKC 90-297HD Leafs
    Toytec .5" shims
    Bilstein B110s

I've also added an Icon Sway Bar relocate,
U-Bolt Flip Kit and Superbumps all around.

    Hub to fender:
    DF: 23.5
    PF: 23.5
    DR: 24
    PR: 23.5

    Ground to fender:
    DF: 38.25
    PF: 38.75
    DR: 38.5
    PR: 38.75

Looks like I got 4" in the front and 3 in the rear. The front will settle, I'm sure but the rear I've had for 20k miles so it's set.

    For tires/wheels I have:
Stock TX Edition wheels with 1.25" Spidertrax spacers.

BFG KO2 265/70R17. They rub on full lock in the rear part of the fender. I have caster at 2* but am going to try to get 3* after alignment tomorrow.

Just installed 887 with 5100 on my 2019 today. Running falcon wildpeak at3. Anyone else notice at slow speeds (2-25 mph) you feel every little groove in the tires? With stock suspension and these tires the ride was really smooth and quiet. With Bilstein I feel the tires more at slow speeds. Perfectly fine at higher speeds. But at slow it’s like riding a skateboard over paverstones. Not smooth at all.

Your lift might have put you on the outer tread now. It's one of the reasons I changed UCAs when I went up to 887s.

Three options, try a new alignment with less positive caster, new UCAs or give it 2-300 miles to wear in the tread and then it should ride smoother.

How did you get 4" of lift on 887's if they are designed to give you 2" Are your shocks at 0 or did your raise them?

The top hat spacers. 1/2" on driver, 1/4" on passenger. It's since settled down to just a hair above 3.5" of lift on driver side and 3" on passenger.

Still thats quite a bit more. I got 2" of lift, no spacers then an extra 3/4" with my bigger tires. Ive settled an inch and arb is calming it on the fact the coils are on Holstein shocks and not their own brand

I started with 884's expecting 2". Got about 1.5". So then I bought some 885s used and shortly later decided that wasn't going to be enough before I even put them on. I kinda knew what to expect from them and that's why I went 887s with spacers. If they settle much more, I'll either get bigger spacers or move on to 888s.

Top hat spacers typically double the lift in comparison to their size. 1/4" spacer gives about 1/2" and 1/2" gives about 1".

Headstrong had a chart at one point saying the 887 would give 3" and from my experience, I expected that to settle about 1/2" to 2.5". I added the spacers expecting them to ultimately land me at 3.5" drivers and 3" passenger. I'm a little over that right now. Hub to fender measures 23.5" which is what Toytec says is the max suggested due to CV wear.

    Hope this helps.

Meant to say positive camber, not caster.

    Good luck!

I just noticed that your in a 3rd gen. From what I've read, 3rd gens don't lift the same as 2nd gens. On a 3rd, 888s would give the same amount of lift that a 887 does for a 2nd gen.

3rd gens come from the factory 1” taller than 2nd gens, hence the reason your 2016 only got 2” from 887s compared to the 3’ish that his 2013 got.

Ya your right. I knew a second is 1” lower then a third gen. Just thought it was a different part number.
