I just ordered a set of S/T Maxx in LT255/85/16. Kept hearing great things about them, and finally ordered a set for myself. Couldn't find the Pro in that size, or I would have gotten those.

There's a $70 mail-in rebate on Cooper Tires right now, if anybody else is looking...

Interesting situation. I called a tire installer to get a price on Cooper STT Pro 265/75/16 to put on a 2019 Tacoma Pro. They told me their distributor lists it as a “P” not “LT”. They have the best price at $199 each. They said they will have them later today. I am going to go look at them. Anyone hear of a P style? I am thinking they are just labeled incorrectly and are actually a LT or not the STT Pro?

I went with them on the recommendation of a guy I trust who also just happens to manage a Big-O tires and has probably forgotten more about tires than I’ll ever know. He was right on all counts. They are spectacular.

I considered vs wildpeaks, but I couldn't justify the 75/tire extra cost. But damn they are sexy

I had 4 Cooper STT Pro’s installed, balanced with lifetime rotation and balancing for $825. Little pricey but the lifetime service was a deal. The initial ride was better than the stock tires. Some noise but very little.

STT Pros are the best. Wheel better than my KM2s did for sure. Also look awesome and have great on road manners.

So far I am impressed with the low noise level and the smooth ride considering the monster treads.

Hi Guys, I’m new to the Tire stuff. Can anyone help. I’m planning to get Coopers STT Pro’s in 285/75/16 on SCS F5s on my 19 Tacoma.. 3” lift/leveled.
-how is the ride quality? My daily.
-scale from 1-10, 1 being the lowest. How loud are they?
-how many miles are they supposed to last?
-how is it on gas mileage? Currently hitting 19-20mpg..
I don’t plan to OffRoad much, maybe once a month or so. Mainly beaches.
Thank you all in advance. Pictures would be greatly appreciated as well

I have been using the STT's for about a month, about 1,000 miles daily driving. They have a slight hum but nothing loud at this time. My exhaust is louder than the tires. The ride is comfortable. At slower speeds around 5 miles per hour I feel the tires slightly. They handled great in rain at at high speeds on the highway. I have been top to about 75 miles per hour with no vibration or shaking. I have the tire pressure around 34 PSI since we are still getting into he 80's. Once we are in full fall weather. I will increase to around 36/37 psi since the press drops overbite due to the cold temperatures. These tires are worth the money if you want some off road capability and a great look on the truck. I am averaging about 17.5 miles to the gallon.

Ride quality on my 265/70/17’s were great. In terms of noise, I’d say around an 8... It’s not bad once you get used to it. Maybe it’s just me... but I was lucky to average 17mpg on the highway. Once I added my RTT and stuff though, I was lucky to get 15mpg

Funny thing is I just got 275/70/17 KO2s and it’s night and day on noise! Haha but I do miss the STT Pro’s looks. The 275’s actually looked smaller than the 265’s until I put on my spacers...

I had KO2s on my previous Tacoma and they had a rough ride. Always felt out of balance. I used them for about 25,000 miles, three balances and one alignment. I think it was just one or two tires. Just always felt that slight vibration. They were not noisy.

I think it’s all tires... my STT Pros towards the end, even after being very religious about rotations, couldn’t balance and vibrated pretty bad. Road force balance machine said “replace tire” haha They lasted about 35k miles so I guess that’s not too bad.

35K is good for this type of tire especially if mainly used on hardtop.

It’s exactly what I have on mine and no complaints at all. I’ll probably replace them with the same when these wear out.

The thing that always gets me with these questions is that if you're the type of guy that doesn’t Off-road and is bothered by road noise and ride quality you probably shouldn’t be looking at an off road tire.

Don't say that to be an asshole, I’m just being realistic. I don’t see the point other than for cosmetic purposes; in which case it comes down to the question of what is more important to you, ride quality or looks?

Only you can decide that one for yourself.

Nice! Do you have any pictures? And what’s your offset on your F5s? Any rubbing? What lift you got on?

I totally understand. The noise and stiffness won’t bother me. I just need to know how loud they are. I’m looking for more of Looks but that is capable of handling OffRoading when needed. My options are stt pros, AT3 xlt, AT3 LT, or st maxx.. the pros got my attention the most due to the aggressiveness.. I’m a noob with all these so bare with the questions. Thanks.

Love the info about the STT's. They do look sweet. I need to get new rubber soon as well. I have BFG M/T skinny's right now, and they are pretty damn loud on the highway. I built her for the mountains, then moved to the beach.
My question - did spacers avoid the cab mount chop? I know I need spacers with my 16" rims.

So I pulled the trigger on the Coopers STT Pros. Have a 3” lift with F5s scs 16” with -25 offset with 285/75/16. Had it for 4 days daily driver. Smooth ride, VERY low road noise with radio off and windows up. Only rubs on front left plastic which could easily fix with a heat gun and pressure. No other rubbing any where else on full lock forward and backward.
