I almost look for the UFC to low ball Tony to get him to turn the fight down in favor of CM or point to the fact that CM went 4 rounds (almost) allegedly injured to justify Conor getting the fight. But, I also think Tony wants it bad enough where he’d accept the fight no matter what. This is, IMO, what hard core MMA fans want to see but it also seems that Khabib is also wanting those money fights by calling out GSP (at a weight that would take a lot out of him to make) and Conor is the money fight as well.

Most of these guys are already under contract. Unless they are renegotiating their contract, money isn't getting effected by who they fight. Dustin, Tony, Colby most likely aren't even getting ppv buy money. Eddie Alvarez said he didn't make a dime extra fighting Conor for the belt.

I hear what you’re saying but many fighters are saying they are getting below contract low ball offers. Maybe they are maybe they’re not but many are saying it. Honestly, we might never know until they actually show the offers. Lol

This happens so damn many times.

Look also at someone like MC Hammer. Yes he did fritter away money on stuff like his mansion with gold toilet. He also had a very big heart and helped so many people he grew up with.

Well said. So Hammer was back from my old days! If I ever get that mansion I guess I’ll just settle for a nice porcelain throne, maybe one a little higher up because by then I’ll be too old to stoop down low enough for a “normal” one. Then again my retirement plan consists of either a small condo on the beach or a cabin in the woods....

My understanding is that the title challenger renegotiates their contract before the title match. Colby stated so when he said that the reason he has not accepted the Usman fight is because the UFC isn't offering his worth. He already sees himself as champion because of his interim title and believes that entitles him to championship pay. He also said some garbage about being the first to have presidential fan base.

Sign me up to see it. The antics are cheesy but that dude brings it and he is only getting better.

I agree completely, I could do without the antics, but the Lawler fight made me take notice. I’ve never seen anyone keep that kind of pace, it was a blast to watch.

His problem is his worth isn't much. His last fight actually had pretty low ratings. You can get a good glimpse into pay by this site. https://www.google.com/amp/s/thespo...08/colby-covington-career-earnings-fox11/amp/

Cowboys gunna have to manage the pressure. That’s a given. Justin’s game hardly changes. He just bites down and doesn’t give any breathing room. Really exciting match up.
